i don't think a team pvp game would really require that many resources. yogscast did a cool one actually where they had an hour to build up and the objective was to destroy the enemy spawn or something.

members aren't currency. any clan that values its members as numbers isn't worth crap.

wizard's is gross, it was streamlined as crap and wasn't very open. plus, didn't it only have like 20 players max? kalphiter's is still my favorite no doubt.

i've talked to brighter dark about the server and gave him the AA turret used in it. if i didn't support it, i wouldn't have helped him out. Brighter has also helped me out with a couple of projects as well. it was a joke because the point names/cap system is similar to mine. there's nothing wrong with being inspired by other servers and making your own based on them while incorporating your own ideas. nice try though buddy, better luck next time.

dont really get what you're saying. i thought the guy was suggesting that we merge builds together and i thought it was a terrible idea. i don't work well with other hosts because i like making things the way i like, and other people like making things the way they like. this server uses default style weapons, and mine uses ammo based weapons. he was then saying how it could be in the same "universe" but that wouldn't really work either and just seems kinda silly.

i don't really see how being reasonable is an "ego trip", but i guess you never know when it comes to BLF logic.

Wouldn't some of that have to do with the individual add-ons?
i don't get what you mean, but the point is that these changes would allow players to do more. blockland has always been about players making things. badspot shouldn't be releasing add-ons as updates, we don't need more bricks or vehicles unless they bring in new components that enhance gameplay (e.g: tank, door bricks).

I listed things that will enhance/fix existing features (packet size lag, new vehicle types, raised brickcount) and new features that will add more functionality to the game (moving parts, buildable vehicles, technic bricks). The goal of most of these suggestions isn't instant gratification, but to expand creative/gameplay possibilities both short and long term.

suggestions list:

packet size increase (playertype downloads corrupt because more than 1kb of animation names/causes ghosting lag)
.ifl download support
vehicle physics improvement
turn the terrain mission editor into a brick terrain mode. make it so you can use brushes to sculpt terrain out of a 4x4, 8x8, or 16x16 cubescape plane.
setNodeColor for items
can we even remove/move the groundplane?
more images slots/ability to mount multiple images to one slot
environment zones
water improvement (still no waves!)
buildable vehicles
technics bricks/moving parts
moving objects support (if I stand on a moving platform, I should move with the platform)
better light effects ie spotlights
raise projectile speed
better light effects ie spotlights
raise projectile speed
player turn limit (like 45 degrees for mounted turrets) and player turn speed cap
projectile collision models
increase brickcount
anti water zones/bricks
bigger than a copy of unity

i don't care about hats as long as we get some new gameplay features and fixes.

who knows. The builds could certainly be meshed together - I just don't think it would make the game any more fun, and there's also some issues, like having to change colorsets and having to raise up TBD's islands really high to go with Heed's water height
nah. i don't like using stuff that i didn't oversee/design myself, and i don't like collaborating with other hosts. plus i already have my own server lore anyway.

this "anti piracy" operation is a huge waste of time and money. nothing's going to change due to the way torrents work.

it still causes money loss. why buy it when you have it for free right there?
how does it cause money loss if the pirate never planned to buy it in the first place?

I just got this game and it's pretty neat. I hope they fix latency issues because i'd love to have a space battle but it doesn't really seem worth it yet.

i've always wanted to be able to selectively send objects to clients. it would be awesome for things like location markers or heat goggles the illuminate players.
