hmmm why was it in a BAG? if the person wanted to get rid of it, why would they care enough to put it in a bag? this is getting deep.

dont see why everyone's saying "badspot doesn't have to update!!!". no stuff he doesn't have to update, if he did then there wouldn't be this problem. i thought i've made it clear 300 times already. i'm complaining because he said directly in the shaders + shadows topic that the changes made in that update would make way for even bigger and better updates. It was even stated that fixing vehicle physics would be easier too. Nothing has happened.

When someone releases a product that contains bugs and problems, it's to be expected that they fix it. When someone says that big updates are to be expected, they should actually follow through. No stuff they don't HAVE to update, i don't see why you're bringing that up. I'm deliberately pissing on badspot's actions because he chose to abandon the game. There's no justice or righteous law crap to it, i'm mad because he gave up. I'm mad because this game could be 10x better than what it is if he only chose to work a bit more on it. I'm mad because I see so much potential, but "badspot's not FORCED to update you just feel ENTITLED" so nothing will ever come from it.

blockland is an old ass game. a normal dev would have called it retired years ago.
Then he should've passed it on like notch did with minecraft. He'd still be making money, but it'd be in the hands of someone who actually wants to improve it, plus he wouldn't have to work at all!

you should be kissing badspot's ass he even does small fixes. much less gives us new content.
frankly we do kiss his ass by continuing to play his game even after all these years. keeping his forums and game alive for such a long time seems like the best ass-kissing a dev could wish for.
we live in a world where pretty much every single game has access to the internet. games aren't stuck at their release state anymore. with the blockland launcher, badspot should be able to quickly distribute patches (which was his whole reason for making it).

Even then, Blockland is mainly a content-based community-driven game. Asking 1-3 people to make all of what we have now that came out of the community is definitely a bit much. The add-on system exists for a reason.
nobodies complaining about badspot not making official add-ons. no stuff we have an add-on system, we're complaining about him not fixing what we can't fix with the add-on system. asking 1-3 people who've went to college, studied computer programming, and made a living off mainly programming to actively fix and develop the game (you know, their job) isn't that hard to ask. it's been two god-damn years, it's not like we're asking all this stuff to be made in a month.
Now this makes sense. But what I'm trying to grasp is, is there a way we can keep players? Adding in new content, something to keep them fueled for the game. Maybe Badspot could start adding in more community add-ons, like slayer or something? It'd mean less work for him, but more content for players. Plus with our Add-Ons system they're always disable-able.
No this ISN'T what we need. in fact, this is the complete OPPOSITE of what we need. Pulling a notch and putting in community features as default content is a garbage idea. Take time to think this over. If badspot adds Slayer as a default add-on, that means slayer is now stuck in the same development hell as the rest of the game. It's now up to Badspot to keep slayer updated with the game, unless he wants to put Greek2Me's name in the credits and give him the ability to send updates to everyone in the game whenever he wants.
Now take this idea and compound it with more and more community made content and we have even more add-ons that get stuck in the hell.

It's sad that you even suggested such a thing. "Why doesn't badspot just take more time off and throw in stuff other people make!". A lot of you fail to grasp that we don't need more add-ons. You have to understand that badspot's the only person in charge of actually adding new features to the game. This means things like elevators/moving parts, updated physics, technic bricks, buildable vehicles, environment zones, decals across servers, functional helicopters, bit cap, and hack patches are all up to him. If you want those things to exist and function well, then they can't just be made as add-ons.

That's my complaint with the game. I don't care about add-on distribution, I don't care about default add-ons, I don't care about if we have 10000 players or 100, I don't care what kind of add-ons people are making, I don't care what server are up, I don't care about all this stuff that players can fix by getting off their ass. I care about the things that only BADSPOT can fix and he's NOT getting off his ass.

Instead we get a bunch of sweet talking and hype about a "big future" that is "bigger than a copy of unity" and none of that happens. There is so much potential this game has and nothing's being done with it. Moving parts and technic like bricks haven't even been explored yet. Environments have a bunch of potential and they are still limited too. A mission editor with brushes to sculpt brick terrain would be awesome. Building vehicles has been a dream for like 5+ years. The game isn't even close to what it could be, and the only person who can change that is badspot.

HAHA he's entirely right! everything he said in that post was true. BDX (whoever the hell that is) is completely right too. this forum is so caught up over usernames that they don't even respond to the completely accurate points he's making. ephi said pretty much the exact same thing (in lesser detail), and everyone flocked to kiss his ass and agree that the development was in decline. kalph goes into even more detail and handicapped grudge holders throw a huge fit. it's not like he's just coming out and saying "blockland is bad here's a pic of badspot being gay", he's describing problems he sees with development in a reasonable way. way to make yourselves look like handicapped fan-drones.

"he doesn't owe you guys anything!!!! you're lucky the game exists"
Except he owes steam players a LOT of things. He basically half-assed the entire steam support where steam players can't even use their key for anything. This isn't really relevant now, as the major hosting services are gone, but it certainly was a couple months ago, and certainly will be if new ones open up. And i don't know how you can say he doesn't owe us bugfixes. This is still a major bug that could be easily fixed (which was the purpose of the launcher), but isn't.
Some people take this game too seriously lmao
Regardless of the content of the game, when there are features completely restricted to certain buyers, and long-standing bugs/neglected glitches, it makes sense to complain about them.

Kalphiter is right, the game development is essentially dead and I don't see what's wrong about people being pissed about that. When Badspot announces v21 and says
Quote
We can't afford to not put out updates for 18 months while we rewrite everything. We can make incremental changes and get big improvements in the short term. Killing interiors + terrains is a big step towards a brighter future. Bigger than buying a copy of Unity.
I would expect there to be something to show for it. Then, in an ironic turn, two years later, with nothing to show for it, badspot basically announces that he doesn't care about the game and has lost interest. There was so much hype for v21 fueled by the devs promising and hinting at it being an awesome game-changer, but it turned out to be the complete opposite.

i don't like the whole dumb minecraft style. blockland has never been pixelated or "retro" like that, the skies have always looked normal and the sun isn't a cube. it would look better as actual planets.

would you rather play with someone you know or some random
if i want a space battles i don't give a heck who i play with. not everyone wants to RP in their ship with 3 friends all day. i'd rather not play with just people i know, that way i can actually find servers and join in and not have to wait for friends to get online and agree to play. i'd like multiplayer features to be expanded to the point where setting up a ship vs ship fight doesn't take a bunch of pre-planning.

brother, do u even CBT participant?

there were tank and planes on the tank battles. but loving gaijin took it out after the public release. It was INSANE fun shooting bombers down, then watching them fall.
I was wondering why this was taken out. Was there any explanation?

jes00 fixed it, will find link
EDIT: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=256289.0
Why isn't this default in the game? Wasn't the point of V20 to allow fixes like this?

i guess I'm making a smart move in spending what little money I have on a 3ds instead of this game

I had so much hope for it but forget Ubisoft, you forgeted up.
smart idea. if you aren't sure if it's going to be good, wait a couple of months for it to go on sale. you don't HAVE to get it on day 1 and try to convince yourself that it will be good so you don't feel like you wasted your money.

don't be a handicap and support it just because you had high hopes for it after seeing the fake e3 footage.

What would you suggest?
picking your own loadout based on a playstyle you want instead of a cheap gimmick to try and keep people playing.

also where are you getting these from
IGN had a stream running, and the day before there was a leaked stream up.
have some
