by that logic kalph should be able to delete posts in his.

EXCEPT HE'S NOT A MOD. That's just about the dumbest thing I've ever read, gg 10/10 would laugh at you again.
Sorry last time I checked it was Lub's topic
But it's also Ephialtes service, he needs to read the topic for bugs to fix and instead you starfishs are stuffposting in it.

Tell me mister lawyers, if Ephialtes is such an oppressive dude who can't stand critique, then why didn't he delete Kalphiter's posts in there?

it's not abuse lmao

he deleted stuffposts in lubs thread. in response, you guys started spamming topics about him removing the stuffposts. then you started spamming even more topics about him removing the topics complaining about removing the stuffposts

tldr; you guys are sperging out
Just another day at the Blockland Forums. A bunch of kids (oops) thinking they're entitled to rights on the forums.

If all six are locked and the problem isn't resolved in any of them, then yes. Which is what has happened.
Except only 3 of them were locked and you made another one?

Yes, because us 'kids' are so misinformed and so much less knowledgeable than you, sire Bolster.

Please continue to be conceited and throw random insults around because you work out on a regular basis and have a basic understanding of the English language, it's so informing and shows all of us 'kids' that we need to respect our stuffty elders.
No, he called you a kid because you people are acting like kids. Oh wait, you are! Man Boltster, you're such a realist.

Drama / Re: RTB Dedicated Hosting Service - Launch
« on: December 05, 2012, 04:31:01 AM »
Kalphiter is the XBOX360 and RTB is the PS3
Looks fancy and such, but the XBOX360 still runs stuff fine, PS3 is just a PS2 with a Bluray.
let's see who will win this one out.
Nope, still a terrible brown townogy.

Kalphiter's is an '86 Toyota Corolla that is still running after some mileage which gives it's drivers a false sense of security. RTB's is a new Nissan Navara that is just better in every single way, but scares people because it hasn't been seen on road as much as the Corollas. In a drastic stretch to gain money and keep their customers, Toyota puts out a service that allows old Corollas to be fitted a new engine and other accessories at a decent price because Toyota's latest CEO, an autistic teenager (who lopes around and pretends to run the company), sold most of the company's assets, purchased mentally unstable prostitutes and took them into his mother's closet and made them do what no sane woman could. Then, all of the Toyota customers died in a car crash because of their rusting, and what they thought were perfect, Corollas. Of course, they were also stuff drivers.

Paypal accounts requires a phone and I don't even own a phone (Will do soon). Everything I order online is usually a pre-paid debit card. Plus, I don't think my parents like the idea of their 14 year old son having a paypal account to buy whatever they want.
So they don't care if you buy debit cards which are pretty much anonymous when purchasing things (with most online retailers supporting entering credit cards / debit cards directly) but they care if you make a Paypal account, which actually tags your purchases to your account?

The server runs in UTC time, so adding a user-designated timezone would require a rewrite of the time display. It's not impossible, but at this time it is not a priority for RTB.
It is not planned or projected, however I am sure they are open to suggestions if you have a legitimate reason.

Modification Help / Don't propagate the XY Problem
« on: November 29, 2012, 03:01:49 AM »
It seems Coding Help would benefit if everyone learnt about the XY Problem and why it's the cancer of programming forums.

http://www.perlmonks.org/index.pl?node_id=542341

Quote
You want to do X, and you think Y is the best way of doing so. Instead of asking about X, you ask about Y.
Quote
You're trying to do X, and you thought of solution Y. So you're asking about solution Y, without even mentioning X. The problem is, there might be a better solution, but we can't know that unless you describe what X is.
Quote
Someone asks how to do Y when they really want to do X. They ask how to do Y because they believe it is the best way to accomplish X. People trying to help go through many iterations of "try this", followed by "that won't work because of". That is, depending on the circumstances, other solutions may be the way to go.
Quote
To answer question Y, without understanding larger problem (the context) X, will most likely *not* help them entirely with X.
Quote
A.k.a. "premature closure": the questioner wanted to solve some not very clearly stated X, they concluded that Y was a component of a solution, and now they're asking how to implement Y.
Quote
The XY problem is when you need to do X, and you think you can use Y to do X, so you ask about how to do Y, when what you really should do is state what your X problem is. There may be a Z solution that is even better than Y, but nobody can suggest it if X is never mentioned.

Modification Help / Re: z0w0's Perlin Noise Implementation is broken
« on: November 29, 2012, 12:43:22 AM »
Post the code you're using to generate the bricks based on the Perlin object. It's a direct port of Ken Perlin's improved noise code -- you might be using it wrong, or there's something wrong with the port.

EDIT: Here. I haven't tested it because I don't have Blockland installed, but if it has syntax errors I'm sure you can fix it yourself. If it doesn't work, you're using it wrong or it is an issue with TorqueScript's number support.

Modification Help / Re: Triggering code when a bot is in the line of sight
« on: November 25, 2012, 04:12:30 AM »
Oh, I have some code for you. One minute. had to plug in my second harddrive to get it, lol.
There are a few issues with that code. For one, it only tries to hit bricks, even though other players, static shapes, vehicles, etc. might be in the way. It assumes that if an object is hit by the raycast the target object must not be in view, even though the object it hit may even be the target object (understandable because you assumed it would only hit bricks, but it would be nice to change the example code to work for other types). Finally, it would be nice if you made a variable for the field of view, as I can imagine whatever fixed amount you have currently is not going to be perfect for all use cases.

Of course, even then it won't be perfect. I made this code a year ago but it is also flawed; you need to do a lot more checking for it to be perfect (like scaling the size of the object by inversed distance to see how visible it is from that point in comparison to objects hit by the raycast).

Exactly what I though. "Why does rlcbm need a converter? I'd be stunned to see him actually manage to model something."
My thoughts were more along the lines of "Wow, Tudoreleuu is a condescending wanker".

that's for when a command is put into the console, not when a line is output into the console.
Hence me asking for context in my first post. Thought the OP might have meant a few things.
