Off Topic / $100 acquired, what to buy? (POLL) (UPDATED)

HARDWARE

1. A Power Supply of some sort (Possibly one that outputs better than the one I have. No idea why.)

2. 800 MHz DDR2 RAM (Howerver many sticks I can get.) $30-60 bucks a pop.

3. a 1.5 TB hard drive. I've got extra space. ($75-100)

GAMEPADS

Belkin N52TE ($60-80, I had it before but returned it because at the time I had the ChairDesk and it was a pain in the ass for wires.)


HEADSETS

Razer Carcharias (Over my budget. $113, but it's worth it because I really need a headset.)

I am currently typing this on the new Macbook air at FutureShop.

The keyboard is nice, the screen is average... It really is think.

As for everything else, it's seriously stuff.

Discuss the new Apple Macbook Air, their latest waste of money.

Games / Crysis, maxed out...

Out of curiosity, I was wondering how many people here on the forums have witnessed Crysis, completely maxed out in DX10 with a framerate of 30 or over.

It's something that makes you feel proud when you see it on your own computer. I just experienced it tonight.

Amazing game.

Two screens:

1: HP w2207h 23" Flatscreen (Gloss)
2: HP 2010i 20" Flatscreen (Matte)

Hooked up to a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 through HDMI and DVI.

Performance is still spectacular; I can play Crysis and Shattered Horizon on maximum <3

Oh by the way, I couldn't find the goddamn "Post your desktop" thread. Goforgetyoselves.

Talk your balls off about Christmas. Seriously, it's probably the best holiday of all time, mainly because of Nostalgia, presents, presents, gifts, snow, presents, egg nog and motherforgetin' hot chocolate. Christmas is my favorite holiday just because of one thing: You never sleep on christmas eve. Ever. If you end up sleeping then you must either be 1: drunk, 2: an emotional freak or 3: have already peeked at your presents like the BASTARD YOU ARE. Or sometimes, your parents might just explain to you that you're going to have a stuffty and hobo-style Christmas.


Christmas at the Blockland forums

If you're really stupid into the holiday spirit you may want to think about giving a gift to a fellow Blockland forum member for Christmas. It's always a nice thing to do if that certain friend isn't going to have a good Christmas. Gifting a steam game, ordering some cheap and nasty jewlery from Hong Kong, whatever it is, the thought counts.

TomTheGeek and Cyanian have gifted me Shattered Horizon and Minecraft. They are both going to receive some hot brown town soon.

I ordered a LED Watch for Tom. He's pretty pleased with it.


Wish lists

Wish lists are one of the most fun things to make at Christmas as well, because you get to search for things you want and you're pretty much guaranteed to get it (Unless you ask for a $50,000,000 house with lazer cannons and a piggy trap). If you want, post your Christmas lists here. Knowing you guys you'll probably post things like Computer Parts or games from Steam, but whatever it is you want for Christmas, post it!

Here are a few websites for high quality wallpapers I've found.

http://interfacelift.com/ - The wallpapers section is the best I've seen so far.
http://www.caedes.net/ - Great selection for all different genres of photography and art; most walls have multiple resolutions
http://customize.org/ - In the wallpapers section it's not too bad, there are some really good ones but the website itself is slow to load
http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/wallpaper/ - Great selection, but not all images are multiple res. It's an art site, what do you expect.
http://wallbot.net/?content=newest - Good all-around wallpapers, not all are good resolution though

A good example is my desktop, resized 50%

Alrighty. Two things I really want to get right now, a 27" monitor, or a new GPU.
