Drama / Re: Do you think Badspot is failing Blockland with every update?
« on: November 15, 2010, 12:36:58 AM »
Updates make the game better/more efficient.

The only company that has actually made and update a bad thing is Canocal, every time there is a new release of Ubuntu you have to wait about a year until they fix all the bugs, and by then, a newer version is out, with more bugs. Yay.

Blockland is doing fine with updates aside from V18 being a tad iffy.

hahahaa, um no.

Your BIOS might have a auto-startup option, and I remember there is a way to wake it up automatically via this.

I'll send you this later, Mack <3.

Awesome, that'll help.

Official notice: The AA server will be available PERMANENTLY on Monday, November 15th, at 7:50 AM. It will hopefully not shut down for a long period of time.

Second official notice: The monkey from Toy Story 3 is the scariest loving thing I have ever seen in my entire life.

What?

A while back, TomTheGeek showed me this freakin' awesome watch on this website called DealExtreme.com. I was completely amazed at the really low price and was super urged to buy it, so I did, and so far I love it. I get fantastic comments from people about it, that it's very retro and stylish, and futuristic.

When I got the watch, Tom was pissed at me because he was the one who showed me the watch in the first place, and he wanted me to buy him one. So I promised I would. I got it on December 3rd, and I'm shipping it the next day.

This thread is to discuss the awesomeness of this popular and incredibly cheap watch. It was converted from The Quest For Tom's Watch, after I ordered it.

What are the selections for the watch? (Colors, finishes, types)?

Silver Metallic with Blue LED (Variation 1): http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.20339

44 LED watches

Silver Metallic with boarder, multicolor LED: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.24943

How the heck do you tell time with this thing?

It's called a "binary watch", and it basically shows the minutes in a stacking order.

People on the forums who got a watch

MackTheHunter has the Silver Metallic with Blue LED watch.
TomTheGeek has the  Black Metallic with Red LED watch.

Photo taken by my brother. My watch (left) is the blue and larger LED watch, and Tom's (right) is smaller, with red LEDs and a darker finish.

The tin box that the watch comes in. This box is usually secure and the watch is protected, but your box may show up dented or bent a bit.

also Kinect > Move

even though they both suck move is just an improved Wii to be honest, Kinect does something unique

They had Kinect at Walmart, brand new. So we went to try it out.

While my friend Alex was across the entertainment section on the PS3 Move, I was trying out Kinect. It kept losing track of me for some reason (I was playing some crazy dance game), and the walmart employee told me to move more slowly. I tried that, it then completely lost track of me for some reason. He was all like "you need to get rid of the sweater" and "make sure people arent behind you", so after I took off my hoodie and everyone moved from behind me, I tried again, and it still couldn't keep track of me.

Alex came over and tried it. Same deal, it's either we're too short or too tall, or too close, but we tried everything and couldn't get it to work.

After that we went over to try out Move. It was quite different from Wii, I was expecting it to be a clone basically, but the Move supports complete 3D moving (instead of a shake-sensor in the controller like the Wii, when you move the controller in a different angle it actually tracks that) and we were playing some awesome Archery game. It took less than 5 seconds for me to get the hang of it. It felt really natural, and I was good at shooting arrows n' stuff. Later on I was slicing up some fat monday on this awesome sword combat game that game with Move.

Although there was one problem with the Move, is that if you move the white ball thing on the end of the controller behind something, it loses track. Big whoop?
