"Hey guys, I have a huge gun. Let's build a plane around it."

"You mean... Let's build a gun into this plane?"

"No, forget you. Lets build a PLANE. Around this GAU-8. We're strapping wings to a supermegacannon. Because MERICA."

It means she's shy as hell. From what you said it sounds like she's obviously into you but you need to put that out there that you do like her, by either telling her or making it REALLY loving obvious. At the rate she's going she probably won't end up telling you  (or at least for a long time) because she sounds like she's uber shy.

Something a little different I guess. Not quite a megathread, but just a thread about different aircraft and which ones you think are awesome.

It can be any aircraft, any type, be it military, business jets, private aircraft or even commercial airliners.

I'll start: Sukhoi SU-35

Long live Avialliance.

Came in here to point out that the control tower you made is giggle-worthy, because it's pretty much identical to Makanix's tower that he built for the first Avialliance tower.

Also you're using the very old, very broken Cessna addon from Avialliance.

Yikes. Hope the new one is decent,

At least Corsair's tech support was good. I told them the problem and they diagnosed it as a busted pump, so they're sending me a new one. Had to pay $40 for shipping it to them though. Bullstuff.

who here uses mechanical keyboards? If so what kind of switch do you use?

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2011 blue edition, cherry blues. Bloody noisy switches, but great tactile response and feedback.

My laptop tends to run really really really hot. Sometimes to the point in which it closes games (mostly Civ 5). Do those cooling pad things with the pads work well?

Laptops almost always are extremely hot under load. The main reason being is because there is very little room for airflow in the notebook and it tends to generate a lot of heat when you're running a game, HD movie or sometimes even Skype. The best thing you can to do aid this is-
... [take] a compressed air can and [spray] the vents while the computer is off.
or better yet - open up your laptop and spray the whole thing with canned air. Spraying the dust back into the fan from the outside won't really do a good job of cleaning it out.

If all else fails, either buy one of those neat laptop cooling pads for when you're gaming, or just build a gaming desktop and game there.

It was easy to make. All you need to do is,

  • Butter a pan, scramble some eggs (2 to 3 is best) and pour them slowly into the pan.
  • Put the heat of the stovetop to medium and let it cook until it becomes a solid sheet.
  • Once solid, add seasoning of your choice (I did black pepper) and grate some cheese (I did cheddar)
  • Pour some of the grated cheese onto the face of the egg, and let it melt a bit.
  • Carefully make sure the egg isn't stuck to the pan by moving it around on all edges for a bit
  • Fold the egg in half.
  • Add more black pepper and grated cheese.
  • Fold it AGAIN, so it's a quarter sized sheet.

Should look like this:

Then after that, let it cook through, flip it over a few times as well until both sides are a lovely golden brown and crispy.

Once that's done, turn the stove off, and prepare the omlette with whatever you want on top. I did a little block of cheese, and ketchup.

So delicious, so sweet but sadly so small ; _ ;

AI Suite II, provided by Asus with the motherboard, and Asus GPU Monitor, provided with the GPU.

Just played Hitman: Absolution and the GPU went up to 55-59 degrees, I guess I still don't have a good enough idea yet.

Using the stock cooler right now as well. I have a Corsair H100 that currently is in a swamp in California, and about to be thrown in the trash because the pump failed. Once Asetek- I mean, Corsair, sends me a new one, I'll check out the new temperatures that will actually be half-decent.

The stock cooler keeps the PC idle at about 35C stock (Asus P8Z77M-PRO, i5 2500K) and on full usage it's about 60C. It's not that great of a cooler but it works.

anational socialistng heatsink probably can even keep a cpu under 90 degrees! amazing technology these days

Something that laptops need to change, honestly, because these die out so quickly.
