not necessarily

in some cases you may have to code for at least one guaranteed run

Could you show me how that would happen? It's actually confusing me. I'm not the best at coding but I think I have a pretty good understanding of the basics so far, sorry if this questioning is annoying.

>implying i'm being pissy?????

god i swear some people don't even know the definition of "mad"

I said pissy, the post seemed pissy to me. I didn't think you were mad or upset, just being pissy.

a for loop is not guaranteed to run at least once

What? I guess if you screw up setting up the for loop it won't run. If you initialize the variable in the for loop wouldn't it be guaranteed to run?

it might be a java thing, but i was coding it as i would in c.
a do while loop will always run through once, and then will loop if the conditional is true.

Yeah it's exactly what a for loop would do then.

for( int i = 0; i<5; i++)

So it declares variable, some condition for the variable to meet, then you affect the variable. I know do-while exists in java and it seems pointless to have both a for loop and the do-while loop.

"The Rich People" is a little broad, don't you think?

Well I'm just using it in the sense that nobody poor is in control of our countries policy. I guess it was pretty broad but I mean it in the sense of lobbyists and other people who have a powerful influence on policy. I don't think anyone with a huge influence in policy isn't rich.

I didn't see your post whoops. I just posted it there.

I'm not really experienced with java, I have a decent understanding of the basics though. I've never used a do-while loop, wouldn't it accomplish pretty much the same thing as a for loop?

also people who are against rich people for being rich, they're just jealous and have no friends or family

Yeah rich people are only ever disliked by those poor scum that are so jealous. I also find it ridiculous how most people that have this view point are the ones getting forgeted by rich people.

For later on, a good way to learn a part of a language or library you're not used to is to find someone to hold you accountable for it.

Like, a project for someone that requires you to use that.

This exactly this, whenever I tried to teach myself I didn't have the drive to do it. Now that I have to do it for classes I actually get things done. I enjoy it too.

I hated presenting things in front of small classes, even when I knew everyone there. I still do, but I never had a problem playing in front of a whole auditorium when I was in band. I don't know it just didn't phase me at all. As long as you're not doing a solo or anything don't worry about it.

Start with java, it's super easy. For my classes I use bluejay for the java programs, it's pretty nice.

It's far far cheaper and far far easier to invest in young talent and pay for their scholarships so that they can work for you at reasonable wage than it is to find some industry veteran and hire him.
New minds will work for you for a long time, will pick up new knowledge that a veteran cannot and won't demand a huge salary, industry veterans are in short supply and also move between businesses constantly as they offer higher and higher salaries just to acquire said veterans expertise, there's no guarantee that said veteran will even work for you for more than a year or so before moving on to another company, a young yet skilled employee is happy to work for you for many years for much much less than a veteran would and you don't have to worry about age-related health concerns hindering their performance, either.

It's called talent scouting, it's a pretty common practice in all facets of business

Normally they don't come after you in high school. It's pretty common while you're in college. Like I'm looking at a DOD scholarship that comes with a job. But you can only apply for junior and senior year, or grad school. Also what degree is computer technology? Wouldn't it be computer engineering or some other form of engineering. All the experience he has sounds like he built computers for some stuffty local store. On top of all this he just sounds like a liar.

Is there a safe way to speed up my hard drive? I get complaints when joining games...

Use Ccleaner and defrag it regularly, a hdd doesn't get any faster than it's speed.

Why are you getting pissy with him? He wasn't being a richard or anything.

It must be the cupholders making the price so high
Maybe next time don't have them inlaid with gold

At the radioshack by me they used to have a thing you put in the expansion slot and it had a cupholder. It was the most glorious pc accessory I have ever seen.

What about that natural healthy dose of poison?

When you don't get any attention do you just keep repeating the same thing. You're worse than a preteen girl.
