I already got a good computer, monitors are cheaper too. I'm just thinking my next build is going to be mini-itx. I wanna have a handle on my computer so I can carry it around.

I was going to object, but then I realized that you're right. Parents tody need to get off thier asses and discipline people.

Kids acting like richards on the internet has nothing to do with discipline. The way people act on the internet is usually pretty different from the way they act in real life.

I don't even get what he's so mad about, like at all. I mean I understand the thinking you were being an attention whore part of the argument, though I disagree with it. The rest of it just doesn't make any sense at all.

I've seen so many videos of mini-ITX builds and this one just pushed me over the edge. I want to build one so bad but I don't have that kind of money to throw around at another computer.

I think he might be serious, being this consistent with your stuffty views would be way two hard too be worth the effort. Not to of his stuffty ideas contradict each other.

That's a terrible idea for more than one reason. It's not going to be that cheap since it hasn't been made for a while. Axolotl2 most likely doesn't know much about computers if he recommended a card that came out 4 years ago, and is pretty much a just a 8800 which came out 5 years ago.

Nobody could give you a good answer to this question though. First whats your budget, and second what are your specs. You should have the op have a bit more information or post in the computer megathread with some actual information.


EDIT: I didn't even noticed you bumped this. Why haven't you bought a gpu yet, it's been about a month.

I have no idea. Right now it seems pretty good for me. It's a HP Pavilion 6 GB RAM and that's about she will tell me. And a wicked graphics card that I've seen in action but I have no idea what it is.

I lost it at the wicked graphics card part. It's not good now and it won't be good in two years.

Titan VS 690 though. They're the same price and with the 690 you get two GPUs on one board. imho I'd probably just go for the 690 if I had a choice. The 690 also supports 4 way SLI.

Why would you rather have 2 gpus on a pcb over just one higher end gpu?

Exactly, it's just weird. Fionna actually looks somewhat like a real person. The whole art style of Fionna & Cake just seem really different, but that might just be me. Though the humor and the way the story is told is very different. Though it make's sense since it's the Ice King.

I feel like this is a pretty good video for anyone looking at a gpu. Though I think he missed it also comes down to your price range, which for most people here would be the most important thing.

Alright, so my grandpa is giving me his custom built computer from 08; and I plan on upgrading the Mobo, CPU, RAM. and the video card. I know that you guys are better with this kind of stuff than me and I'd like to know if everything here works out, or if you had any suggestions on different hardware.

mother board
3570k i5
ram

Also, Im pretty sure this mother board wouldn't support a moder gpu/video card right?

So basically you're building a whole new computer, just using the case and hdd? Is it an IDE hdd or a SATA, if it's IDE don't use it. I also doubt it has more than 300 or so gigs.
