What is regular movie FPS, 28?
Tails is right, it's normally at 24. The 48 was pretty nice in heavy cgi scenes with little live action going on. But if it was them on some scenery outside it had this weird look to it. Also I don't know if it was just but me but my dad agreed that the film had this weird lag like thing going on with lots of movement in a live action scene. The movie was really really good besides that.
If you've ever watched an interview with Peter Jackson he said that he was going for a whimsical story with The Hobbit, and it really is a lot different from LOTR. There are a lot of jokes and it overall seems less serious, even the main bad guys in this film are making jokes and nowhere near as menacing as in LOTR. Towards the end it starts to get more serious and the next film is definitely going to be a good one too.
