The device deconstructs the object into Psi, and then converts the Psi into CONNOTATION CARDS depending on the Item. The cards can then be applied to other things.
GREY STOCKING:
2 Futuristic Fuel Cells! These batteries look like they don't belong in our time. What could they possibly go to?
BLACK BOX:
1 TINGALIUM TRACKER! Using the same Mojo that powers Tingles' strange abilities, this device can scan for any deposits of Tingalium within a specific range.
1 Recipe for a PSYCHOSIS PROJECTOR. This device allows you to project any sort of hallucination or delusion into someone's head! It also can be used to project their hallucinations or delusions into the world as holograms.
BLACK STOCKING:
A shiny green Gem! Who knows where it came from or what it does, but it sure is shiny. Perhaps you could sell it?
PURPLE BOX:
A Recipe for a SCHEMA SATCHEL. This Satchel serves as a container, which allows you to store items that aren't made of Meta-Materials inside the Book of Imagination. It, like your default Inventory, has nine slots.
You also get some Meta-Materials back from breaking down the present boxes. Recycling is always good!

1 MIND'S EYE! This Meta-Material contains the aspect of Sight. It can be used to allow you to have extra vision, see things from a different perspective, or even see what other people see!
2 BRILLIANCE BULBS! These Meta-Materials contain the aspect of Ideas. These lights run off of PSI energy, and they are very bright... It hurts to look at them when they are on.
1 ECCENTRIC ENGIMA! Not much is known of this mysterious Meta-Material, but it seems to contain the aspect of STRANGENESS, MYSTERY, DOUBT and THE UNKNOWN. It looks very dark and menacing. Who knows what secrets this thing could contain!
10 WHITE IMAGINATION INGOTS! These things are apparently much rarer than Red Ingots. So rare that they aren't even found naturally. They have no impurities, and are much stronger than regular Colored ones. Maybe they are mixed with another metal like the Tingalium Ingots?
NEW RECIPE: CLAIRVOYANCE CUBE! This costly recipe gives you a fancy little cube that knows about everything going on nearby. It costs a ton of PSI to operate.
NEW SKILL: TELEKINESIS! Now we're talkin'! Menen can now preform TELEKINESIS! Right now, you can only light small objects, but through training you could eventually lift things one hundred times your own weight!
