Forum Games / The TF2 Zombie Apocalypse [PROLOGUE BOSS: Zombie Heavy]
« on: June 02, 2016, 09:36:40 PM »

What happens when one spell to raise the dead goes completely wrong? Well, first off, Merasmus is entirely to blame for this, and second, its an apocalypse where the undead corpses of the mercenaries have taken over the world and killed off most of the population, now only the survivors, including other mercenaries (ok, the majority are just more mercenaries), have to try and survive in this harsh new world, and hopefully kick merasmus in the ass if they get the chance. Lets just hope the ongoing civil war between the two teams doesn't kill them first.

I'm doing something special for this game, instead of the forum controlling one character, each member will control their own! Each member can select one class to play as.

Please note that by picking a class, you are not forced to roleplay that particular classes personality, nor are you restricted to the team that the poster displays, you may pick whichever team you want, and may roleplay whatever personality you want.

The scout is the fastest of the mercenaries, and it is this speed that makes him capable of surviving the undead infested world easily. He used to captured objectives and intelligence for his team, now he scavenges anything that helps him, and his team survive, as well as picking off undead while he's at it. He can outrun most of the undead, and his wide-range of powerful weapons allows him to take on powerful undead without much risk to himself, however a single slip-up can be fatal, due to the scouts physical fragility.

The Soldier is the frontline mercenary, equipped with a powerful rocket launcher, the soldier was able to go toe to toe with other mercenaries, now his arsenal allows him to engage groups and single powerful undead with ease, the soldier weakens with proximity, where he is forced to use a secondary and melee weapon, both of which tend to be poor against tougher undead, or large groups of weaker undead.

The Pyro is a mentally insane individual with an affinity for all things fire. The pyro specialized in ambushing mercenaries and roasting them alive, now it uses fire to ensure the undead, stay dead. The pyro is effective at taking down massive groups of weak undead, but is less effective against tougher foes, his compression blast provides great utility to a battle, but must be used sparingly, as fuel for the pyro's flamethrower is scarce to come across.

The Demoman is a drunk from scotland who is very experienced in the art of making things explode, back in the day he used to guard important objectives and the intelligence from the enemy, now he uses his knowledge to blow the undead to pieces. The demoman specializes in crowd control, his grenades and stickybombs allow him to take on groups of undead, and the high damage lets him duke it out with the powerful undead easily. However, the demoman is vulnerable at close range, where explosions can potentially kill him, his melee arsenal however, is vast, and allows him to engage lesser zombies toe to toe without risking his own neck.

The heavy is the big man on the team, he hails from russia and brought its culture, and firepower to the table. As his name suggests, the heavy is the brute muscle on the team, he used to charge to the front lines and take fire for his teammates, now he mows down armies of undead and takes on the toughest of enemies to protect his team. The heavies weakness is his weight, he cannot move very fast, but he has more then enough muscle to make up for it, allowing him to pummel undead should they get too close, however if the heavy is unable to use his minigun, he is easily killed.

The Engineer is a soft-spoken man from texas, his knowledge is beyond that of the other mercenaries, and his ability to produce, maintain, and upgrade various technological devices made him an important asset to the team. Now he uses his knowledge as a weapon against the undead. The engineer is able to hold his own in a fight, and can take on weaker infected, and moderately strong ones on his own, as long as there are not too many. The engineers specialty is to create buildings using whatever useable scrap and metal he can find. He can construct sentry guns, dispensers, and teleporters if he can find the materials. This supportive nature makes the engineer prime for setting up a base out in the zombie infested world, however similarly to the scout, he is frail and can be killed easily if cornered.

The medic is a man of medicine who comes from germany, His unique weapon, the medigun, allows him to heal his allies, and deploy all-powerful Ubercharges to change the flow of battle, his role does not differ much in the new world, the medic heals allies to keep them from dying to the undead, and can deploy ubercharges to change the tide of battle, the medic is important to have for most encounters and essential when combating some of the strongest forms of undead. However, the medic is very poor in direct combat, and he is easily killed, granted he can take on a few weaker undead, but any form of stronger undead can easily slay a medic.

The sniper is a bushman, raised in the australian outback, he's learned how to shoot a gun, and shoot it well, his job before the apocalypse was simple: "Aim" and "shoot". Now that the world is overrun with the undead, his job has gotten a little more complicated. The sniper is an assassin class who's job is to pick off the undead at a distance before they can even get close, he is especially important at killing specific types of undead, which either have to be killed first/quickly, or are dangerous to kill in other ways. The sniper, like the scout, is very fragile, and is easily killed if cornered.

The spy is a man of espionage, emerging from france with sharp suits and sharp knives, he was the deceiver of the team, tasked with getting behind enemy lines and taking out the enemy teams most important members, or sneaking off with the intelligence. Now, his job has become alot more complicated. The spy is an assassin class similarly to the sniper, however the spy works close to the undead, rather then far away. His cloak allows him to go unseen and sneak past the undead, allowing him to swiftly kill them with a backstab, or run off with whatever loot he can get his hands on. The spy is excellent at picking off important enemy targets, and useful when engaging powerful undead, who will take heavy damage from a backstab. Like the scout however, the spy is fragile, and should he be caught without any form of escape, he can be swiftly torn apart by the undead.

I'm sure at least some of you remember this old thing from my olden days. Well, i've decided to re-make and re-master it. Better made, more proper posing, and overall a better adventure.

Forum Games / Return to the Salty Spitoon [DAY 3 - DEMON PRESENCE]
« on: February 07, 2016, 02:26:09 PM »
Welcome to the Salty Spitoon, how tough are ya?

The goal of this game is to gain access to the Salty Spitoon.

In order to play, submit your character in the comments, it must include an image, and the name, extra info may be included at your own discretion.

When the game begins, characters will enter the "line" and go one by one up to Reg. Which is the Primary Antagonist of the Game.

Reg is the only enemy you will encounter, but he is also the strongest, having a huge amount of HP.

When you go up to reg, you must present "what makes you tough". Your responses will affect his mood, if you fail to impress him, he will attack you.

When he attacks you, your character will deal a certain level of damage against reg based on its level, you gain a level every time you successfully enter the salty spitoon. However, there is a chance reg will Hospitalize your character, forcing them to sit out the next round. Hospitilization is determined by a random number generator.

When all characters have either entered the salty spitoon, or been hospitalized, and none remain, the day will end. All characters who gained entry will then gain a level. This will increase their health and damage against reg. Including granting them new abilities. The round then ends, and the next round begins. On the following round, characters who recently gained entry will have to get through reg again.

The game ends when reg is finally hospitalized. To do this, you must drop reg to 0 HP. Afterwards, the next game will begin, and reg will return as a higher level reg. Increasing his health and damage, aswell as making it harder to get inside the salty spitoon successfully.

The game will also end if all players become hospitalized. Because there will be no characters to finish the game with a level up, which will reset the game back to the original level with reg at his lowest strength.

If a player successfully gets reg to his acceptance mood, entrance will be granted. This is achieved by giving a tough but believeable story.

if a players toughness comment is not acceptable, reg will enter his questionable mood.

If a player fails to impress reg, or gives a very unbelieveable story, he will enter his angry state, you only have one chance to take him out of it, to do so, you must try to convince reg you are tough, but its difficult at this stage, if you succeed, he will enter his questionable state again. If you fail, he will attack you.

This cycle will continue untill the game ends.

Blockland Forums Yu-Gi-Oh

Blockland Forums meets the Yu-Gi-Oh Dueling Network community. This is a community project that would very much appreciate the support of the viewers.

Yu-Gi-Oh Dueling Network is a fully free to play online card game that allows you to use any card that exists for free. These videos are recorded and uploaded by me, and will be done on a weekly basis, one video per week. These videos are highly reliant on the viewer community to pick a deck, and who will use it. However, if no battle requests are present, we will pick decks ourselves to duel for the weekly video.

Link to the Dueling Network: http://www.duelingnetwork.com/

Feel free to comment your thoughts on the battle, what could have been done, what went wrong, that sort of thing. Take into consideration of the duelists, as if they could possibly know there was a game changing trap card. Also it would be respectful to not insult the duelists, as the margin for error is the construction of the deck and the probability of card drawing.

How to Request a battle:

Deck Name/Character Name, If character deck, name the version

Who will be using the deck.

Requesting example: Yami Yugi character deck
Version: Milennium Duels, Normal Mode

It would help in the deck construction to find and post a link of the deck to cut out a part of the building process, if it is a pre-built deck. Personal/Custom deck requests are also accepted.

Watching the duel live is possible by clicking on the link, and searching the two users, either Dark Osiris(Percival), or X-Aqua-X(Aqua).

General Discussion / What are your motivations for playing blockland?
« on: September 06, 2015, 01:23:49 AM »
I've been curious, after all of the stuff blockland has been through, many people ignore it now. But for those who continue to play, tell me. What are your current ideas? your motivations, what makes you play the game as the way it is now. Personally, i play it because of the creativity, and despite the limitations, it still has potential. Please give honest answers, what drives you to play blockland the way it is now? I apologize if this belongs in a different area, and if so, i do not mind it being moved, but i would enjoy my curiosities being sated. If that is ok?

Forum Games / YET ANOTHER EXPERIMENT - BLF Yu-Gi-Oh
« on: August 31, 2015, 11:37:33 AM »
This is an EXPERIMENTAL post for a forum project i have planned. Many of you probably dont know what yu-gi-oh is, have never played it, have seen it, or have played it. Either way, this is to test some things, and it may even become the true project.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

The process is experimental, but i plan for it to go something like this.

Players will submit subject matter in order for me to create a deck for them to use. They will then battle another player. Assuming they have a deck. For example.

EXAMPLE

"Make a deck using Tf2!"

It does not matter what the subject matter is, but i require specific things.
There must be enough i can use out of the subject matter to create enough cards. Using large franchises and successful games for subject matter works very well. Things like Portal, Tf2, Certain Tv shows, such as Evangelion, Adventure Time.
EVEN MY LITTLE PONY CAN WORK

Second, The subject matter cannot be inappropriate. I will not accept subject matter that involves any genitalia or loveually related matter. Period.

And third, custom ideas ARE allowed. But note if you want a completely custom deck made, out of the utter blue, you will need to stay on-top of it, alongside me. I cannot make a fully custom deck in such circumstances without your assistance in telling me what to use and how to create them. I recommend everyone use subject matter, but this is an open option.

EXAMPLE CARD

I am doing this project because i love yu-gi-oh, and it would be interesting to see creativity in its form. Lets hope this can go somewhere.

deck construction will take time, so expect slow updates.

Forum Games / Crypt of the GABENDANCER [Its Back!]
« on: August 05, 2015, 02:47:27 PM »
Im back to gmod again, yay!

Somewhere in the Midieval Ages...
Please ignore the FPS Counter. My computer is having issues, so gmod is laggy for me. I hope you wont mind.

Medic: Who are you?

Heavy: I am Heavy Weapons Guy. I come seeking the crypt.

Medic: The Crypt? You must be out of your mind.

Medic: Scout. What is the current monster activity?

Scout: They haven't tried escaping yet. Their still dancing down there as usual.

Medic: You! You are free to enter the crypt...But under our watchful guidance and eye. Come, i will guide you.

Heavy: Yes....Let us begin!

Medic: There it is...

Medic: Degroot Keep...Home to the Crypt of the Gabendancer.

Medic: My team and i shall assist you on your escapades by offering you items and upgrades!

Medic: Scout is our blacksmith. He may not look the type, but that boy knows his way around an anvil. He will supply you with most of your weapons.

Medic: Demoman is our Swordsman. He can supply you with some special weapons. If your lucky, he may even let you borrow his personal swords and blades!

Medic: Sniper is our Hunter. He will help you by offering some supportive equipment, and maybe even a few ranged weapons if your lucky.

Medic: As for me, i will be supplying you with very important upgrades. Permanent ones. But i cannot offer you any equipment. Do note that we require special funding in order to oblige your requests. Find gems and crystal orbs scattered around the crypt, and use them to buy new items and upgrades. Also, some other members of our team got lost in the crypt years ago. I doubt they are alive, but if they are, try to find them and bring them back here. They can help you in various ways we cannot. You will have to go through the first floor of the crypt to reach the next. Good Luck to you.

What do you do? You are currently dead broke. No gems, no orbs, cant buy stuff.
Entering the crypt will begin the tutorial. Afterwards, you wont have to do it again.

Forum Games / MS Paint Heroes
« on: July 27, 2015, 03:33:16 PM »
Welcome to MS Paint Heroes! A simple game where you kill things, get gold to buy things, which will help you kill more things to get more gold to buy more things to kill more things and kill giant boss things to get tons of gold to buy super strong things that will help you kill EVEN STRONGER THINGS!

To play, submit a character in the comments, your characters will become MS Paint Heroes that can be purchased with the gold you earn from killing the horribly drawn monsters of MS paint. You also get to decide what the main character does and how he fights each enemy.

Character Submission Form

Use this image as a reference guide for submitting your character, please include a picture of the character custom drawn into MS Paint. Thanks to MTrRxx for letting me use his character for the guideline.

Upgrade Formula
All upgrades submitted must follow this formula

Upgrade Name - What the upgrade does

You may apply a brief description of the upgrade, it can be anything really, even if it doesn't make any sense

Upgrades may do the following.

Increase DPS by 100% 125% 150% 175% or 200%
Higher DPS Boosts demand the upgrade be more expensive

Increase Critical Hit Chance by 3% or 5%
5% Chance Boosts demand significantly higher gold costs

Increase Critical Hit Multiplier by 5 or 10
Critical Hit Multipliers of 10 demand significantly higher gold costs

Increase the DPS of all heroes by 25%
This may only be applied to heroes with a lower DPS then other heroes as to balance them out

Increase all gold found by 25%
This is EXTREMELY Character Based, if you want this as a hero upgrade you will have to send me a PM and we'll discuss it

Remember!

Heroes will be organized based on HOW THEY AFFECT THE GAME. Weaker Heroes will be able to be hired much faster, but will make less of a difference in higher levels. Stronger heroes make more of a difference but will take longer to hire. Heroes who focus more on supportive upgrades will vary on positioning.

If you have any questions, voice them in the comments, i will answer all of them to the best of my ability to clear up any confusion
