Forum Games / The TF2 Zombie Apocalypse [PROLOGUE BOSS: Zombie Heavy]
« on: June 02, 2016, 09:36:40 PM »What happens when one spell to raise the dead goes completely wrong? Well, first off, Merasmus is entirely to blame for this, and second, its an apocalypse where the undead corpses of the mercenaries have taken over the world and killed off most of the population, now only the survivors, including other mercenaries (ok, the majority are just more mercenaries), have to try and survive in this harsh new world, and hopefully kick merasmus in the ass if they get the chance. Lets just hope the ongoing civil war between the two teams doesn't kill them first.
I'm doing something special for this game, instead of the forum controlling one character, each member will control their own! Each member can select one class to play as.
Please note that by picking a class, you are not forced to roleplay that particular classes personality, nor are you restricted to the team that the poster displays, you may pick whichever team you want, and may roleplay whatever personality you want.
The scout is the fastest of the mercenaries, and it is this speed that makes him capable of surviving the undead infested world easily. He used to captured objectives and intelligence for his team, now he scavenges anything that helps him, and his team survive, as well as picking off undead while he's at it. He can outrun most of the undead, and his wide-range of powerful weapons allows him to take on powerful undead without much risk to himself, however a single slip-up can be fatal, due to the scouts physical fragility.
The Soldier is the frontline mercenary, equipped with a powerful rocket launcher, the soldier was able to go toe to toe with other mercenaries, now his arsenal allows him to engage groups and single powerful undead with ease, the soldier weakens with proximity, where he is forced to use a secondary and melee weapon, both of which tend to be poor against tougher undead, or large groups of weaker undead.
The Pyro is a mentally insane individual with an affinity for all things fire. The pyro specialized in ambushing mercenaries and roasting them alive, now it uses fire to ensure the undead, stay dead. The pyro is effective at taking down massive groups of weak undead, but is less effective against tougher foes, his compression blast provides great utility to a battle, but must be used sparingly, as fuel for the pyro's flamethrower is scarce to come across.
The Demoman is a drunk from scotland who is very experienced in the art of making things explode, back in the day he used to guard important objectives and the intelligence from the enemy, now he uses his knowledge to blow the undead to pieces. The demoman specializes in crowd control, his grenades and stickybombs allow him to take on groups of undead, and the high damage lets him duke it out with the powerful undead easily. However, the demoman is vulnerable at close range, where explosions can potentially kill him, his melee arsenal however, is vast, and allows him to engage lesser zombies toe to toe without risking his own neck.
The heavy is the big man on the team, he hails from russia and brought its culture, and firepower to the table. As his name suggests, the heavy is the brute muscle on the team, he used to charge to the front lines and take fire for his teammates, now he mows down armies of undead and takes on the toughest of enemies to protect his team. The heavies weakness is his weight, he cannot move very fast, but he has more then enough muscle to make up for it, allowing him to pummel undead should they get too close, however if the heavy is unable to use his minigun, he is easily killed.
The Engineer is a soft-spoken man from texas, his knowledge is beyond that of the other mercenaries, and his ability to produce, maintain, and upgrade various technological devices made him an important asset to the team. Now he uses his knowledge as a weapon against the undead. The engineer is able to hold his own in a fight, and can take on weaker infected, and moderately strong ones on his own, as long as there are not too many. The engineers specialty is to create buildings using whatever useable scrap and metal he can find. He can construct sentry guns, dispensers, and teleporters if he can find the materials. This supportive nature makes the engineer prime for setting up a base out in the zombie infested world, however similarly to the scout, he is frail and can be killed easily if cornered.
The medic is a man of medicine who comes from germany, His unique weapon, the medigun, allows him to heal his allies, and deploy all-powerful Ubercharges to change the flow of battle, his role does not differ much in the new world, the medic heals allies to keep them from dying to the undead, and can deploy ubercharges to change the tide of battle, the medic is important to have for most encounters and essential when combating some of the strongest forms of undead. However, the medic is very poor in direct combat, and he is easily killed, granted he can take on a few weaker undead, but any form of stronger undead can easily slay a medic.
The sniper is a bushman, raised in the australian outback, he's learned how to shoot a gun, and shoot it well, his job before the apocalypse was simple: "Aim" and "shoot". Now that the world is overrun with the undead, his job has gotten a little more complicated. The sniper is an assassin class who's job is to pick off the undead at a distance before they can even get close, he is especially important at killing specific types of undead, which either have to be killed first/quickly, or are dangerous to kill in other ways. The sniper, like the scout, is very fragile, and is easily killed if cornered.
The spy is a man of espionage, emerging from france with sharp suits and sharp knives, he was the deceiver of the team, tasked with getting behind enemy lines and taking out the enemy teams most important members, or sneaking off with the intelligence. Now, his job has become alot more complicated. The spy is an assassin class similarly to the sniper, however the spy works close to the undead, rather then far away. His cloak allows him to go unseen and sneak past the undead, allowing him to swiftly kill them with a backstab, or run off with whatever loot he can get his hands on. The spy is excellent at picking off important enemy targets, and useful when engaging powerful undead, who will take heavy damage from a backstab. Like the scout however, the spy is fragile, and should he be caught without any form of escape, he can be swiftly torn apart by the undead.
