Games / Fallout New Vegas: DAY 2

I was thinking earlier(watching ZP's F:NV review, wink wink) I thought that it'd be cool to have a diary typed thing, as Fallout is a role-playing game, this is played on Hardcore Mode
So here goes, probably won't be great but whatever, I'm no writer. Constructive criticism would be nice
Day 1:
I woke up on a smelly bed and was immediately greeted by an old man, I thought for a second he'd kidnapped me so I reached for my gun, reliably it was't there. Turns out he'd saved my life by sticking tweezers into my brain, nice huh?
I made my excuses and left(after weighing myself down with everything in his house slightly valuable.
I made my way over to the store where the owner was nicely looking at a wall, unfortunately when he stops looking at said wall all his stuff was in my pocket, and I was over by the bar, stupid moron!
When I walked in I was greeted by a very manly-woman who said she wanted to teach me how to shoot stuff, not going to deny an opportunity like that, am I? She even gave me a rifle too, which was nice. Afterwards I was compelled to help her shoot some more stuff, she did give me a rifle and all, we snook up on some geckos and shot them all in their head before they could go "cluck" or whatever geckos go like, also rescued a stupid woman, got a few quid out of it so no complaints there either.
After walking into the bar and seeing an argument between a black person and another man-like woman, she said he's wanting to kick some dude in the balls or something, wasn't listening, was distracted thinking about crumpets at the time.
I went up to see this man who's the enemy of the black guy, he seemed like my kind of guy(he had a big gun) so I agreed to help him, turns out the black guy was a gangster, I had the feeling my foot was going to end up in the guys face. After convincing the entire town to help me in the gunfight, I went back to the man - and was interrupted by the woman who'd given me the rifle, she said the gang guys were attacking - no problem
As I arrived the first few shots were already ringing out, however my opponents weren't wearing any shirts, surely they should have used some armour? Anyway one of them threw some dynamite and it blew my arm off. stuff.
After sorting the problem of my arm out I hiked to Primm, the journy went surprisingly well, as no mutant beasts decided to eat me, so everything's a plus. However the town had been invaded by a gang, not sure who though because of amnesia.
So, I decided to take things into my own hands I sneaked through the town taking the high ground in a partially destroyed building, after a quick drink using my scoped rifle I fired the first shot.
It struck him in the neck, killing him instantly, unfortunatlely his friend didn't take kindly to that, as I was reloading the wall around me exploded from gunfire, I realised my position was compromised and I needed to move
So, I did the most badass thing possible, jumping out the back window which would of only been more awesome if it was in slow motion and the build had exploded.
I was in the street, an entire building between me and my targets, they had also lost sight of me. Good. I move around the building, flanking the enemy who were still firing on the building and opened fire, cutting 3 of them down in their stride and polishing the last off with no worry.
After doing some looting I went inside the Vikki and Vance casino where an old man let me steal from their machines and bought all my useless crap.
He told me the man who knew something had beed kidnapped by the gang I'd just completely owned.
So I ventured inside the hotel opposite the casino, as I walked across the room a gang member appeared through a doorway, I instantly took cover behind a counter and went into sneak mode, good, he hadn't seen me.
I took out the shotgun I'd stolen from a previous encounter and fired a single shot into the chest of my enemy - BLAM - his head flew off his body, his ragdoll slumping onto a chair. Awesome.
His buddy seemed confused, and then he stupidly took up the same position of his friend. POW, dead.
I dash over to their bodies, steal their stuff, dash across the hallway to a store room and hide inside, one of the guards almost noticing me, he was coming to investigate., forget. I had to thing fast, so I readied my shotgun to shoot him when he walked in.
Slowly and catiously he poked his head round the door - not seeing me, he slowly walks across the room, then I spring out, ready my shotgun to blow his head off, pull the trigger...... click.
I was now in the stuffter. I'd just ambushed a guard with an empty gun, I pulled out my 9mm and took cover behind a table, the guard throwing a stick of dynamite my way, I ran at him, and punched him dead.
After sneaking inside the room with the boss guy and 2 grunts, I took up position in a shadowy corner and lobbed a stick of dynamite his way.
Boom, the leader and his left-hand man are killed instantly, the other man retreats clutching his leg, I shoot him twice. In the back. He falls down dead.
I notice a bed, after a quick drink and a meal I turn in for the night.
Day 2
After waking up I rescued a hostage who proceeded to tell the entire town HE helped ME, anyway he told where I should be going.
Shorty after I arrived in a town that had been taken over by Romans, which was good for me as it made it impossible to get caught stealing their stuff.
Heading onward to Mohave outpost to get my stuff fixed.
Then I realised I'd backtracked and was "aww stuff"
I spend the rest of the day wandering through the wasteland before arriving at Novac and getting a bed for the night.
I will likely update once a day, once again I'd like to state I know my writing is far from perfect and I'd like advice on how to make it better.

Well, I'm building a new computer, I just wanted to make sure with people who know more than me that I've done everything right
Here's what I plan on getting. (I've got the case and everything, all measured right)
CPU: AMD ATHLON II Quad Core 3ghz
Mobo: DDR3, SATA 3gb/s
RAM: Samsung 4GB (2x2) DDR3
Graphics: Radeon HD 5770
Am I bottlenecking in any areas? Also note I'm paying for all of this, so try to keep the prices down.
