No, it's a map.
This section allows you to view all posts made by this member. Note that you can only see posts made in areas you currently have access to.
Do you have AT&T internet? ATT blocks 000webhost. (Which is horrible)No. Is it working for you?
Query Master Server Failed
DNS Failed during master server query.
1. Verify your internet connection
2. Make sure any security software you have is
set to allow Blockland.exe to connect to the internet.
I assume the custom MS is currently down, am I right?
Windows or Linux? If it's Linux, you can shoot me the credentials in a PM and I can set it up for you. I don't have class on Tuesdays, so I'm sure I could get you a working master server by Wednesday. How is this going?
I know nothing about Windows / WAMP server stacks though, so if it's windows you're SOL and all I can give you is the PHP files.
Well, two things. One, I misunderstood the OP. The authentication server is frequently referred to as the master server. Second, even if I hadn't misunderstood the OP, the term 'authentication' is still valid for use there. The posting of a server to the master server is technically an authentication handshake -- just a different one than the BLID auth system.I realize that, but the custom master server could use a completely different communication method than the default master server. These two "authentication" systems would work completely independent of each other.
Possible, yes. Easy? No.The auth system has nothing to do with this. It's simply an extra list of servers.
It can be done but likely never will be. The only person who had enough motivation to actually figure out how auth requests are sent and processed was Dotdotcircle, and he's been gone for a while now.
Not only is it possible to have a custom master server with a modded blockland.exe, but it's possible to have a custom AUTH server with a modded blockland.exe and a server running somewhere. Like seriously lol.We are talking about a client side mod, not a modded executable.
Why can't the GUI list just list of I.P of the servers and we can just enter it on the main one?Sure, thats possible, but we could just make a custom "Join server" button under the list.
What about it?
That.
on second thought, I think I would kind of like this idea. This would have been a reasonable argument a year ago, but these days the community already seems to be very much split in two. I think this project would help reduce the tension between the two parts. If you like v21, play v21. If you like the old Blockland, you will have an alternative.
badspot said the development was "forget it" anyways
BUT, it would kind of make a split in the community, and chances are, more people would use v20 than v21.
badspot doesn't like people using previous versionsPossible, but since Badspot seems to have lost interest in Blockland, maybe he will let this one slide. In the end, if the players are satisfied and the game survives he earns more money from sales.
What about the I.P? Like you said, a client side gui, but that lists all the v20 servers.... then you just enter the I.P address of the server, an play.I am not sure what you mean. There can be a "Join server" button that simply makes you join the server.
