Why not?
You also can't mod default addons as restarting Blockland would just redownload the addon and reversing the changes you made to the addon.

Help / Re: Dead ping on my server

I can't have that port open for both my wifi adapter and my ethernet adapter.
You can, if you give both adapters the same IP.

In your network adapter settings:

You should have at least 2 adapters: one for your wifi, and one for your ethernet.
If you did port forward, you should have come across this screen (if you are on Windows of course) and know what IP you selected.
So just do the exact same thing on the ethernet adapter.
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/19249/how-to-assign-a-static-ip-address-in-xp-vista-or-windows-7/

You may have to keep the one you're not using disabled or else it may give errors, not sure on that.
Nah, it shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't try to be connected with ethernet and wifi at the same time.

To port forward you have to set a static IP.
You probably only did that on the wifi adapter and not on your ethernet adapter.

The new doors have a frame that is clickable.
You can use that when you are stuck.

Otherwise, maybe use a zone event.

Using so many bricks makes is slow, you are better off taking the stairs.
I agree teleports are a bit unrealistic and in my opinion too easy.
The way I used to make elevators is by letting the players fall or jump up to the next floor until they reached the floor they wanted in rapid succession. Just not fast enough to get hurt by fall damage.

General Discussion / Re: blockland is the best game ever
« on: February 19, 2016, 09:07:33 AM »
I'm really sad that everyone I ask knows about Minecraft and what it is, but no one I've ever met knew what Blockland is. Most people I know play Minecraft, and haven't even heard of Blockland, even though Blockland is infinitely better.
Blockland isn't infinitely better.
Otherwise there would be no Blocklander that stated playing Minecraft, which is not the case.

Minecrafts survival mode is very solid. Especially if you add a bunch of modpacks to it.
This is something Blockland doesn't have, which some players will not like.

But for those Minecrafters who play a lot of minigames like spleef and zombie survival, they would love Blockland if they came into contact with it.
And those builders and redstoners would also have the time of their life with Blockland.

New players have quite a different experience here, it takes 5+ minutes to download thousands of files from servers. This is the first thing they see after purchasing the game.
I'm pretty sure it could be made like 10-20 times faster.
Couldn't peer to peer be used to send files? Everyone on the server would send you the files at the same time.
So the more the server is populated, the faster the downloading will be.

Help / Re: Help with Bot_Hole
« on: February 16, 2016, 12:09:37 AM »
as for the hammer, all you have is playGesture > Mov_attack
You sure that works?
Tried it on a server and he only fired it once.

Here is an other way to make the hammer go endlessly with relays:

OnBotSpawn > self > CancleEvents (Stop any timers if they are already going)
OnBotSpawn > self > Firerelay (Start the timer)
OnRelay > self > FireRelay (delay of 2000 ms so the hammer goes off every 2 seconds)
OnRelay > self > BotFireWeapon (Fire the Hammer)

General Discussion / Re: How to host a server without the ping going: --

Here is a detailed explanation on how to port forward:
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/

Just find the model of your router (the box that connects your internet) and follow the instructions.

Anyway, this belongs in help

I also need a torch because the one we have looks like a beehive.
This torch looks like a weird carrot:

Although it is only a model and the link doesn't work anymore.

Make the map the inside of a human body and pretend you shrunk down to fight a virus that is spreading.

It really is one of the best client addons out there.
I don't know how I played Blockland so long without it.

Help / Re: Nobody can join my server anymore
« on: February 12, 2016, 05:10:42 PM »
I don't even know if my router is capable of running many players on one port.

All games run on one port.
Being able to run many players has nothing to do with that.
For Blockland this port is 28000.
Some servers run multiple dedicated blockland servers, and they use multiple ports. One for each server.
But everyone else just has to port forward that one port.

Plus, you can port forward a range of ports to a server at the same time.

And I really suggest trying to find access to your router.
You will keep running into problems with UPnP.
It is kinda flimsy in that way.

269
If the players have the no-combat playertype, they cant receive damage or do any damage.
So they won't be able to damage the bots.
But they will also not be able to damage each other.
I don't know if you want to be able to do that or not.
