Backstory
Earth was once a hospitable planet, the revolutionary minds of the world had produced the solutions to our long lasting problems that would allow mankind to live their lives carefree and happily. Corporations have made it easy to achieve this through competition and mass production. People were buying up augmentations and body enhancements to give them the ideal life they wanted. A bright scientist by the name of Osiris Lachance created the first sentient artificial intelligence, he named his project NEXUS. The NEXUS project was meant to give an alternative to all of the tedious bureaucracy and management of the government. He created a small society of androids known as the Drones. The Drones lived content within the small society. Lachance proud of the success of his community promoted it to the rest of society. People were very skeptical at first, believing that it would be like opening Pandora's Box. Supporters came and melded with the hive mind, including Lachance himself. Lachance implants his consciousness into the programming for NEXUS to forever be apart of it. The project goes well but slowly descends into a dystopian society. Drones were constantly forced to conform to certain constraints, stymieing free will and expression, many were sent to work and toil in labor camps. Those who opposed NEXUS were immediately taken away and never heard of again; however, those deemed useful were kept but were pacified with a pacifier chip, a chip that could pacify any rebellious thoughts by projecting a false reality in the host's mind. People on the outside caught on, NEXUS was denounced after the newly formed United Factions calls NEXUS out on atrocities against mankind. The hive mind did not take kindly to this, to carry out its orders to make a perfect society it needed to eliminate its enemies. The drones who were loyal to the system took up arms and fought against the coalition peacekeeping forces. Partisans, however a minority, rose up and realized the truth, these drones started their own faction, the Free Drones. Runaway and renegade drones that fought against NEXUS gained a strong foothold in the battle against NEXUS, but the war has just begun... the fight to preserve human conscious or to protect utopian and content society has begun, and the once powerful organic forces are now the resistance.
This is the year 2153, the year that the NEXUS Wars broke out. NEXUS went on the offensive, taking over East Europe and a part of Germany with it. Berlin and the 182nd Battalion have fallen and you are the last resistance within the city. United Factions forces have pulled back to the far end of the city and to Spandau, and are still holding out in the last point of resistance. Some have banded up together to resist, others are loyal to the NEXUS forces and wish to stop any further resistance against them. It's up to you to make the choice of whether you support the defending, offensive forces or neither.

Background Info:
Dierk lived the life of an average Warven, being apart of a life on the bully pulpit. From the beginning of NEXUS, he preached about the hell that would break loose if they grew any further. Looks like his prediction was correct. He began mustering people in the local communities to fight against the Androids, using his great charisma and leadership to raise a standing army of militia-men and women. He lived in Spandau for most of his life and so shall his adventure begin there. The United Factions troops came and saw the militia and asked for some of them to join them at the last line of defense. Dierk wasn't too happy about this, but they did ask him to keep going throughout the rest of the controlled areas to alert and train their militias. Off he went, to spread the word and muster the last line of defense.
