i really want to learn how to play d&d. it looks fun as hell

Don't start with pathfinder is my advice, that stuff is convoluted and slow paced for a newbie player. You're better off starting with 5e to get your feet wet and then working down to 3.5e for actual gameplay.


I would love to play, but currently I'm DM'ing my own 5e campaign.

I don't understand the unrealistically super-buff characters.

I like buff, not hyper buff, but enough muscle to feel almost secure in their presence. Bara is nice too, but that can be more bulk and fat along with some muscle.
