Get A+/PCPro and Net+/NetPro certified, it'll help you in the long run especially if you decide to go into diagnostics as well.

Just build the damn computers for the people and not have to worry with Windows. That's the brilliance of being a hardware only vendor. If they decide to go with windows, give them consultation and let them buy it.
