why is the 2600k the best thing on the 1155?
i mean its good.... but its not great speed. for the best of the best, its not that great lol
New Sandy Bridge architecture makes it way more effective than a chip with a different architecture with the same speed. Kinda like how a Celeron 3GHz isn't as good as an i5 3GHz, both running 1 core.

Anyway, good build. I'm glad to see you got a Z68 mobo.

I recommend replacing that 5770 with a 6970 for equal the price. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H67M
People, why are we recommending Intel motherboards when he's gonna be buying a Phenom II?

This is 990FX, so it'll support your Phenom II and also support new Bulldozer technology coming out in the near future.

And replace the 5770 with the 6790 that Proto suggested.

Make sure you buy some RAM, I'd suggest at least 6GB for what you want it to do.

Help / Re: --- Ping?

Do make sure that you are either port forwarding or using UPnP. You can't use both as they conflict. Try one then the other. I find that Port Forwarding is a bit more reliable.

If you bumped your router, it may have given you a different IP address, which may have caused instabilities within your network. You may need to filter through your network settings and set them up for your new address.

If his mom is like how most adult I know are, she'll say Wikipedia is full of bullstuff.

The first step, is to get inside the problem.

So, your mom thinks your a dumbass, and you don't understand what death is in reality.
"I shoot people up after I play video games. I think that's why. People like me ruin it for everyone."
bahahahahahahahaha

Also, I was just using that as an example, as it was the best and easiest to quote for a definition.

I once knew this kid on RuneScape. Both of his parents were no-lifer high levels on there.
You know you're jealous, even though it is RuneScape.

Mine is called "forget off"

Usually because I never secure it because it's on for like 30 minutes a month when someone comes round with a laptop requiring help with some shenanigans.

"A game is structured playing, usually undertaken for enjoyment"
-Wikipedia

If she's so brown town about this kind of thing, you should tell her to take another perspective view on nursery rhymes. Focus on the words.

I'm the tech guy in the family.
My mother comes to me for help. Dad knows nothing as he used his first computer a few months ago but won't come to me as he's too proud. He will never admit he's wrong about anything.

Windows Server 2008 R2 can utilize about 2TB of RAM. Windows 7 can only use about 192 GBs if you're running Ultimate and you are using the 64-bit version.
I thought it was 196GB. Could be wrong.
But hasn't every OS since XP been able to do this?

I knew what the code was because I wrote down the beeps and looked it up it was a GPU issue and as for the anti-virus I used avg all my life never fails
You said 6 beeps, 6 beeps is a keyboard controller error on a standard AMI bios.

Also, he can't download another antivirus, and can't start up his current one, so you suggesting AVG was not needed.
