I've owned and Acer and so did my brother, they both broke very quickly. :/
I've had experience with 2 Acers, both are still going to this day.

I like Toshiba. c:
I forget about them, they are good.

EDIT:
I had problems with toshiba.
They're good i guess. I rather stick with ASUS or compaq though.
Compaq = HP

Compaq/HP/Acer are the best prebuilt brands.
Never, ever, ever buy a Dell.

My car is a 93 Mitsubishi Mirage. Laugh all you want, but some japanese goons fussed over it for a while and came up with the 1.6L MIVEC engine which produces 172hp but is so efficient that it'll put a RB25E to shame quite easily.

If you want to heavily modify it, there's nothing better than a Nissan, at least over here in NZ.
Also, watch the Top Gear review on the GTR. It might change your mind :)

Interested in a GT-R? Get a new one, dad pays, you get a car that's faster than most lamborghinis.

You seriously call DragonForce pusillanimous individual? It took them 3 guitar players to get through Through The Fire And The Flames.
Heard it live?
Exactly.

Lamb of God is good.

90% of people in-game wonder if I'm "Eathin Zook".
What the forget?

That wasn't my solution. It was to check memory.

Case. Price: $100
Power Supply. Price: $155
Motherboard. Price: $160 <-- I use this motherboard more than any other one when I build computers for customers. Never heard a single complaint. I personally use this one though
Processor. Price: $250
Ram. Price: $100
Hard Drive. Price: $40
SSD Drive. Price: $165
GPU. Price: $500.

Total: $1470.

You can change out the case for this. It's cheaper.

You can also remove the SSD, I just put it there for fast booting of OS, games and your important software (photoshop, cinema4d).

My personal recommendation of a keyboard;

I use it, it's damn near indestructible. I've thrown it against walls, hit it with all my force, stepped on it. etc etc etc.

I'd be expecting a bit more than a 580 for a build of this price.

So, instead of buying the $100 one I suggested, get this one:

From what I remember (I haven't bought a non OEM OS in a while) you can get 3 copies out of it. One for you, one for your mother, and one for me!kidding :D And you also get some free Trend Micro for your new PC :D
Argh, I did a bit of research, some people say it's possible, some people say it isn't. IDK.
