Well, my dad got it to work somewhat last night. It was very dark and had black lines, but it was displaying something. Right now, it's on, but there is no display. If that's a GPU problem, then we're forgeted because they bought the computer 3 or so years ago, and we're not rich. We're broke, to be honest. My dad makes about $11 an hour in a 6-7 hour day. So, hopefully it's the monitor.

Implying that a GPU is more than a monitor.

I don't think the monitor would just go like this.
It sounds like more like a GPU problem, but as I haven't inspected it, can't say for sure.

HP & Acer are also pretty good for value, i'm pretty sure toshiba take a stuff or two on each PC, whenever it be setup stuff or stuff specs.

Well they should have it all connected, if they don't, it's their fault. You can't use goods that are half done and not finished especially if you can't finish them yourself.

Acer = Toshiba. Toshiba usually lasts slightly logner and looks better. But, I have yet to see pix.

Looks =/= performance.
Acer is one of the best prebuilt brands around. If I had to get a prebuilt, it'd be HP/Compaq (same thing) or Acer.

It's impressive to have 8mbps in NZ, it's just I live in a business area.
We don't get Fiber in NZ until 2019, that's how far behind we are.
