It has to be saved in .png or .tif (might be .tga, one of the two, I forget) for it to be transparent.

If you were to swap the above build's Motherboard and RAM for the below ones, it'd be $10 more, but well worth it for the better brand motherboard.

The parts have no assurance of working together, which is why I'd go with a pre-built. I'd like incompatibility to be a refundable aspect, instead of extra costs for replacement.

Help getting a PC that can run Portal 2 and such whilst not being over $500? (Maybe a few dollars over)

Edit: I just realized: Ethan didn't include a Sound card in his set up, huh? Dang it. This is far too complicated.
They work together. If you don't trust me, I'll send someone like Inverted to this topic.
Also, 99% of motherboards include inbuilt 8 channel sound (7.1). The last time I had to buy a sound card for a built was 1998 lol.

Few problems.
Your CPU is a old architecture. For example, your Pentium 4 at 2.93GHz will have absolutely nothing on say a Core 2 Duo at 2.93GHz, even if they are both running the same amount of cores.
Also, it's an old socket, so you possibly can't upgrade it, but if you're happy with your old CPU, that's fine.

However. It looks as if there is no PCI-E or even AGP slots on the motherboard, just some standard old school PCI.
Would you be able to open it up and maybe take a picture, so I could see if this is correct or not?

240pin DDR2 is fine for this PC.
