I know that feel.
I'm usually like that, but I was in a pretty hefty car accident at 1am on Sunday so I'm still recovering, taking time off studying.

I was thinking of getting a $1500 computer setup for my birthday sometime in May.
I already have a GTX GeForce 550 Ti Graphics card so I don't need to buy a new one.
Would any of you recommend the $1500 OP computer setup?
1. That build list is outdated. I need to get around to redoing them.

2. A 550ti really quite honestly sucks for anything over a $700 build, so you'd definitely upgrade if you had $1500.

3. I can get you an updated parts list if you want?

Bump
I need a new mouse. Preferably a good gaming mouse with good dpi and around $40-60.

Can somebody make me a list to build a computer for about $900-1000?

The only thing i don't need is a hard drive, because i am going to recycle my current one. im looking for a gpu that is good enough to run bf3 at at least high graphics. im not picky about the case, so just a cheap and sturdy one would be nice. i also would like 8gb ram, and a good processor above 3.2ghz. if the price goes above my budget that is ok if it makes the computer better, but my MAX is $1100. all the other stuff is your choice.

thank you
Yeah I'm on it. Just one question, is your hard drive a 7200RPM model at least? It would be worth upgrading if it isn't.

I need a new computer, I have €800 to spend and no idea what to get.
It would be great if someone could find and list the parts for me so I can print them out.
thanks.
I'm on it. What are some good euro sites for computer parts?

Help / Re: blockland not remembering my key?
« on: September 11, 2012, 06:17:55 PM »
I haven't played in a while, but is there a key.dat in your folder as well? It used to be stored in that file.
Has the program got permissions to write to the blockland folder? First, try running blockland.exe as an administrator, and make sure that the folders aren't read only or anything like that.

I had this problem ages ago... For me it was Windows firewall having a spaz...

If you are running Windows firewall:

Start>Control Panel>Windows Firewall.

On the Exceptions tab, click 'Add Port...' and enter the details:
Name: blockland
Port: 28000
TCP/UDP: TCP

Do it again, but this time click UDP, see below:

Name: blockland
Port: 28000
TCP/UDP: UDP

While you are there, check to see if Blockland.exe is on the list.  If it isnt, click 'Add Program...' and search for Blockland.exe and add it.

It seemed to not matter whether windows firewall was on or off, but this fixed it.
I am not sure what to do for vista, but shouldnt be too different.

Best of luck.

I'm building a higher-mid range computer for my school's library (club). The people there don't know that much about computers but they looove lovey ones. Can you guys recommend me some lovey mid towers with side panels? And/or parts that will fit under $900
What's it gonna be used for?

I don't recommend the 560, get the 460 because it has better performance.
I don't think you should talk until you actually know what you are talking about.
BTW, a 700w PSU is absolutely AMPLE for nearly any single video card system on the market today. Make sure it's good quality. You could run that system quite easily off a 550w, however 700w is probably the sweet spot because most PSUs run better then they at are about 50% load.
Get the 7850, it's the best performing and quite power efficient.
