Do you think the 6000 series GPU's will become cheaper when 7000 is out?
Yeah.

Ethan, you forgot about me :'C
It's hard to find exact specs with prebuilts. Don't worry, I'm still looking, sorry.

I've installed Windows:
Two times today (Friends new $3k computer, Windows 7; cousins old laptop with a corrupt hard drive, Windows 7)
Earlier this week (A friends laptop, Windows 7)
Last week (One of my old server computers, Windows 7; secondary partition on a friends computer, Windows Vista)
About a month ago (My new laptop, to remove bloatware, Windows 7)
About 2 months ago (One of my beasts, Windows 7; One of my server PCs, Windows XP)

In the start menu right click on computer > Manage.
Click device manager.
Display Adapters
Right click whatever graphics card you have > Update driver software.
Tada!
Never do that. The windows tool will almost never get the right drivers.

I just had to do this too, Although I cannot figure out how to re-install my drivers.. Mostly my video card driver. And its pissing me off lol
Just post this information for me:
Start > Run > dxdiag
Post entire contents of the first tab, and the display tab, and also post what OS you have (ex Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit or Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit).

whoa
I want a 6990
Thing is, like I said, a 6990 is two 6970s on the same PCB. The 7970 is the next generation 6970.
You can only put 2 6990s in crossfire as there is a 4 GPU limit on both Crossfire and SLI. You can put 4 7970s together as they are single GPU cards.
In February, they are releasing the 7990, which is the next gen version of the 6990. The only problem with these cards is that because of the heat and the form factor, having to squeeze two high performance cards in to one, they have to downclock them.

is the 7970 a dual GPU card?
Nope :D
The 6990 and the 590 are the only dual GPU cards there.
The 590 is two 580s, the 6990 is two 6970s.
The 580 and 6970 were each brands fastest GPUs, but now that AMD released the 7970...

oh god lol, think about the 7990. O_O
The 7970 is also at the same pricepoint as a 580 lol... best bang for your buck.

BTW, I have a slight problem. When I'm playing Battlefield 3, or any other games, sometimes my mouse is jerky, like, when I move the mouse, my movement in the game goes like one at a time. This also happens on the windows desktop when from time to time.
Hell yeah. It even quite honestly is within margin of error on a 590 as well; scary.
With overclocking, man. It can reach like 1200/1600 clocks. Then it sometimes does own, like on BF3 ultra 1080p:

GTX580: 57FPS avg
HD7970: 69FPS avg
HD7970 overclocked: 81FPS avg
HD6990: 82FPS avg.

In Dirt 3, despite it being sponsored by nVidia, it still jumps ahead of the GTX 590 when overclocked!

Yeah.

Is your mouse wireless?

Woah, woah woah,

the 7000 series has been announced/ released
Only some lower end cards like 7450 or whatever (recycled from last series 65XX), and the 7970 is the first of the new architecture. The 7950 will be released in the second week of January. It will be very interesting to see whether it comes on top of the 580 as well. My guess is that it will, by a pretty healthy margin. And, if the 7970 is competitively priced with the 580, and even the 7950 beats it, it will be considerably cheaper, who would buy a 580?
Funny thing is, apparently nVidia only releases their new series late next year. They have to wait that whole time before they can even come out with something competitive.

Well if he has a lot of pressure built up in his head and blew really hard it feel like someone set iff a bomb in his ears.

One time my ears didn't equalize the whole flight and when we landed it felt like an elephant was trying to crush my head. I thought if I blew hard the pain would end quickly, WRONG, it hurt so much I fell and almost broke my laptop. Even then it wouldn't equalize, so throughout the whole day my ears would pop and each time it felt like hell.

But that was the only time it hurt now that I think about it... So maybe you're right.
Well that's extreme. He hasn't been flying. When you're flying, you do it constantly.
I'm talking mostly for when traveling in cars, semi long distances (few hours). The changes in altitude change the pressure in your ears, so at the end of the trip, it's such a feeling of relief to turn that tinny sound into deep hearing again and to remove the pressure.

NO DONT BLOW HARD, BLOW GENTLY! God, are you trying to intentionally cause him pain?
Hard.
Blow gently? Pfft. You ponce.
That's not going to do anything.

He can try it gently and gradually work his way up until it works, if he doesn't have balls.

no. he means he is not on a mountain or in a plane.
The correct terminology is sea level.
Everything is on 'ground level' if you phrase it like that.

Also, ynot, hold your nose so that no air can escape, then blow really hard out your nose while closing your mouth. The extra air will escape through crevices in your ears, and will 'unblock' them, so to speak.

I doubt someone has 9999 terabytes of hentai research and growing in 1 place.
I never said 9999 terabytes.

There is a server array block that supports however many hard drives. With the technology back then (the biggest 3.5" hard drive was 3TB), it could support 1000TB, 1PB (Petabyte). Hitachi just released 4TB HDDs, so more than likely we can have ~1336TB. That's only one off leet 0.0
