You seem a lot more levelheaded than a lot of people on here.

I'm just a moderate independent. Take no sides, piss everyone off with reasonable logic, listen to both sides and brown townyze information, read many sources of history to find the true meanings and bring balance to the world. Such shame we have leftist extremists and right way nuts who want to paint their world in their image. Even extremists extremist groups can exist in the middle, but they are extremely rare.

The Branch Davidians were nothing more than a bunch of extremist cultists who thought David Koresh was jesus. They were bad people, David was off having love with kids, and people were being abused. The CHP is called in, they find way too many guns. So the ATF is called in, the cultists shoot back at the ATF because they think the Satanist police are coming for Jesus. You have a long stand off.

Then the army lones the Police some M1 tanks and a few bradleys to be used as armored bulldozers, some m113s and a CEV to launch tear gas rounds. The CEV fired a tear gas round into a building, people inside retreated to the basement. The tear gas shell burned a carpet which caught ablaze and set off a bunch of ammunition and blew up the building. Media tried to portray the police as the bad guys, then everyone moved on.

So basically all it was a bunch of religious nuts shooting at cops, not a rebellion.

People like this are armed and dangerous. And there are thousands of Evangelical gun owners who will join a militia.  What's worse is that they're indoctrinating their children so that they do stuff like this

As a centrist, I will tell that there are crazy people on both sides of the fence. We have evangelical crazies, neo-national socialists, socialists, eco terrorists, anarchists/sovereign citizens, etc. Police don't need tanks or gunships either. AR type rifles are fine, but anything above that is a little too much. Let the national guard handle that stuff.
