I dunno, a lot of atheists also happen to be rationalists.
In my opinion, almost every body thinks they are so called expert on the internet. If you ask me almost all of the biggest questions will never be answered. Questions like what created matter and energy in the first place.

Yeh, The Bible was written way back when people couldn't comprehend stuff. I could only imagine it from a modern perspective.
For a long time religion has been used to explain the unexplainable. Many cultures worshiped the sun, earth, the moon, basically nature. At one point in time they probably thought that eclipses was the act of the gods having love or some ritual and that wasn't meant for mortal eyes, so they were blinded. Eventually the idea of many human like gods such as zeus, Athena, odin, etc comes out and the myths arise. Then this idea becomes a believe that they are minor gods and there is a bigger god. Then you have Christianity and the whole mess of things. Then people get curious and want to look to the heavens. Telescope is made and it they discover that the moon has a rough surface, the earth is not the center of things, and these ideas are met with resistance. Its no surprise that every emerging belief is met with resistance. The Roman and Greek pagans hated the Christians, Christians hated science. In fact you could say the two go hand in hand that the practice of wanting to discover things has always been there.

yeah exactly

just don't discuss anything ever, problem solved!
*if you don't want drama

I am cool with discussing said issues, every one else is a wet blanket. "Muh feelings, too controversial! ITS A HOT TOPIC! GUYS STOP FIGHTING PLZ! AHH stuff STORM IMPEDING!" Like no stuff, it's a debate. Hell most of my posts come from said topics because I like debating in them.

Wet-Blanket List: For People who think throwing a tarp over a fire and pretending its not there fixes everything!
1.Leave it before it gets aggressive, this was mentioned on page 1.
Honestly just lock the thread OP
Oh god OP is 11 and has made his religious decision.
People don't learn that religious topics cause stuffstorms here. Never.

this is why you don't make a religion thread on blf
You mean don't make a Government Surveillance/NSA, Anti/Pro-Abortion Thread, LGBT rights, GMOs, Gun-Control, Pro-Left/Pro-Right, Immigration, Valve vs EA, feminism, tumblr, threads.

Tolerance will uplift this world.
It could, but there is too much hypocrisy and hate in the world. For example some tells somebody not to judge people, then they turn around and give a fedora-tier rant about how dumb religion is.
