And if you've played something with real weapons and warfare, such as the Red Alert series, you'd know that real Tesla weaponry is based on coils and metal spheres, not stupid little claws with a battery taped to it.
I believe good sir is getting what is realistic and what is wanted confused.

I guess the server should have control over the client's resolution and LOD settings, too?
I think you misunderstand. I'm expecting people will often talk about how they're pushing a brick or something like that, and people who have lesser computers - such as myself - may have the physics turned off and not see that, so it won't make a great deal of sense. If the server could override brick physics to be turned off then it would allow the server admins to avoid that confusion between their clients. Albeit that this is a fairly weak reason, in my case it would be more along the lines of "I can't see them so I see no reason why you should either", should I choose to be a spiteful richard.

ladios might have his own reasons; perhaps he'd prefer simply to have it act like old blockland on his server/s. Therefore it would be beneficial to have that common point of view. Plus, you saw the number of noobs going "lol i cn crush ppl wit physic brik" in the Physics topic, even though it's been explained time and time again that this doesn't work. Perhaps ladios doesn't want the admittedly too large 'stupid' population of Blockland spamming about trying to kill you with brick physics.

Lolrant.

:O  step 1@ 2007 no more copyright'?
Standard copyright law is that copyright expires 70 years after the demise of the creator (that is, registered copyright), IIRC. I had to take a test on it like two years ago.

im saying you can use this to torture noobs with like rock slid raps and they get buried in bricks and you can luagh at them
Uhh, no, you can't. I would explain why but I have a feeling you won't understand, so in laymans terms:
a) You're loving stupid
b) Physical bricks are not solid to players

Yes from me, I know that's good and bork bork bork.

In other news, my laptops cooling fan has died so I am without a computer likely until some time after Christmas. I'd like to take this opportunity to suggest another temp voter take my place while I'm gone, since I will be able to get on maybe once a week and likely not be able to use BL at that time.

(It died like two weeks ago, I forgot to tell anyone but Nix :x)

I like the B-Gun. It's inventive, has just a tiny amount of area damage (I jumped a little when it knocked a couple of 1x1s out), looks nice, and works fine (although has a couple of lines of errors to console).

I say yes.

That and I like E_net.

I haven't seen Bakora's code, but I remember some of what it did and it was an interesting and different bot.

Aside from that we all know rky's a good scripter, so obviously this is just a verbose yes.

Jookias sucks. truley.
Okay, because I'm sick of everyone who's going "OH OMG TIHS SUX IBANZ BETTAR".
BACK UP YOUR GOD DAMN ARGUMENT. TELL US WHY YOU THINK THAT. I'm honestly curious myself as I never play Ibans' server due to it pinging out the ass every five minutes (it spikes to anywhere between 5000 and 8000 ping every few minutes when I'm on there, no other servers do this)

No, but that's a story perhaps better saved for MSN if you have it or ingame if you don't. Or perhaps a drama thread?

Yeah, I got in within twenty minutes.

Maybe you shouldn't be so paranoid, rky. They're not gonna steal it. :C

Monty wasn't wrong when he said 'Jook likes to make things difficult for himself and everyone else'. Just went through and looked at the code for the chat commands.

All I can say is "!??!"

I whipped up a quick and simple dynamic chat command system that uses nothing but isfunction and simple string manipulation (in about 30 minutes, testing time inclusive), and Jookia himself is using a giant if->return rig. I don't mean to criticize (yes I'm joking about that part) but what the hell? I expected better from Jookia. Seeing as how he's one of the more hailed scripters around.

I am willing to admit I couldn't come close to completing anything of this magnitude but it's always the little things that stuff me.
