ok a lot of the time i have to spend my weekend at my grandma's house and her computer sucks; i'm looking for (as it says) a low spec free online fps game

specs for computer (sorry if i mess this up):

Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.53GHz, 504 MB of RAM

this is stuff i got off of my computer in properties if there's a better way tell me

Games / trouble with VAC

while playing on these games:

Team Fortress 2

Counter-Strike: Soucre

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch

Garry's Mod

I get disconnected from a server (after about 5 minutes) with an error saying something like "No connection could be made to the VAC servers blah blah blah)

i've already tried:

restarting steam

reinstalling steam

rebooting my computer

opening ports on my router

removing my firewall

can anyone help me?

I get on a server in say Gmod or Team Fortress 2 after a few minutes i get disconnected and i get the message "Client Timed out" or "You have lost connection to the VAC servers, blah blah blah"

i have already tried opening ports in my router and it did not work.

please help

After some problems with steam before i had to reinstall, but now it can't even update, it just says "Checking for Steam updates..." then after about a minute it says "ERROR: Could not connect to Steam Network."


what do i do

I'm having sound issues with NV, for example someone says "Hello" but i don't hear it and about 1 minute later i hear it even though no one is around. same goes for all other sounds.

my game has crashed a couple times because of this

what can i do to fix it without spending money

I press the power button on my ps3, it turns on for a second, then i beeps and a red light shows, no it doesn't blink. it blinks -.-

Smod (or Super Mod) is a mod for half-life 2. What it is really, is Half-Life 2 story but enhanced.

Features:

-Enhanced story (there are more enemies in places to make it tougher and new weapons)
-New (sorta) enemies including the Bullsquid Houndeye and Zombine.
-Around 30 new weapons!
-Bonus user created maps
-Menu features: Ragdoll types, gore types, NIGHTVISION, BULLET TIME, kicking stuff and so on
-Money, idk what it's for because i haven't played through it all yet :/

this mod is great if your bored out of your mind

only 1 problem though, the recent update to HL2 has screwed up this mod so right now it won't work
