If it had no beginning then doesn't that mean that god was just sitting around a void for infinite years and just eventually decided to toss some loving stars and planets and stuff all over the damn place because he's god? It makes less sense to me for something to have no beginning and why god would just stick planets and stars all over the place when he's apparently only focusing on us.

I believe that the bible is extremely obfuscated at certain points, like the chapter Genesis.

This puzzles me, but doesn't weaken by belief.
Here's the thing, if God wasn't created by something else, then how long was he just sitting around in a black void? And if something did create him, what created that? And what created the thing that created God? So on and so forth. It doesn't make sense.
Also creationism is bullstuff.
