I think you can switch most, if not all outputs to your headphones.
I wouldn't really know, I know that in windows you can either mute or change outputs for programs and such.

Just how much attention are you going to be paying to the draw animation, and why would you be staring at that instead of looking at where you're shooting? I personally don't care about the animations, because they don't look awful, and nobody going to look at them with all of their focus mid-battle anyhow.
