Games / Re: Golf?: An Indie Game (Setting up tournament!)

I play golf in reality. A game wouldn't be of mutch use to me
This just sounds like a smart ass post. I play golf also, but that doesn't mean I can't play a game about it.

Games / Golf?: An Indie Game (Setting up tournament!)
« on: October 13, 2013, 07:45:10 PM »
So if you don't know what Golf? is, then you have not paid much attention to any indie games.

Golf? is basically a game where you control the swing with your mouse, without the stupid swing minigames. You then go into your cart, drive up to your ball and engage your rocket sauce, then swing again until you hole out.

Linkplox?
Calm the forget down, here it is.
Golf?!?!

I am thinking about setting up a tournament, and the winner of that tournament will get a Supreme Commander on steam. If you would participate, post below and if I get enough people I will get official dates.

The format would be 4 rounds of 9 holes, or just 2 to 3 rounds of 18 holes. You would play in groups of 4, keeping eyes and send me "official scorecards" after the round. This will prevent people from cheating. I may host each round and watch each score closely, or just let others host and just put faith in peoples honesty.

Discuss this epic game.

Had a relationship that went on for 2 months but haven't been able to get over it even 2 months after we broke up.

I've been looking for a girl I actually like, but so far there has been no success.

Off Topic / People trying to increase the minimum wage
« on: September 30, 2013, 04:23:25 PM »
I really am tired of people trying to increase the minimum wage in the U.S, its already a little too high. If we increase the minimum wage, workers will have to be laid off because the company simply can't afford to employ that many workers. Also with the increased wages, the cost to produce will increase, therefore causing the companies to increase the prices of their products.

Fast Food workers want 15 dollars an hour. This is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard. You work in a fast food restaurant, and they think the way to get out of poverty is to increase their wages to 15 dollars an hour? Companies can't afford to do such things, they hire you for the same reason you work there; to make money! If you increase the wage to 15 dollars an hour, you cause even more unemployment then there already is. Also its a ridiculous amount of money for the job you do! So you should be making 31,000 dollars a year, because you are in poverty? And it is more than likely one of your decisions that got you there? It really grinds my gears, because they are not even thinking about the effects of increasing wages like that. All they care about is having spending money so they don't have to spend it all on food.
No I do not like to see people in poverty, but when someone thinks increasing wages is the solution, it makes me want to call them an idiot.

Just a little rant I had, discuss people being stupid and not understanding the effects of increasing wages.

Its all because you guys made it into a drama topic, because you were acting like a bunch of loving morons.

I like how people post before calling the cops or check on the person.
Sounds like a BS story when they don't.

lol, people taking this seriously
rockslide would never make up a bs story, don't you disrespect him. If you read the topic you would of seen it all being explained. I can't believe the audacity of people to come and disrespect another forum member who has lost someone they really cared about. You all can call bullstuff all you want, but realize you are all being starfishs. Go lose somebody important to you and then have someone say "Thats bullstuff, it didn't happen."

Oh my god, rockslide I'm sorry. I offer you, and her family my condolences. That is one forgeted up way to find out.

Off Topic / What is your opinion on love?
« on: September 18, 2013, 06:24:21 PM »
I got in a debate about it today with people about how long it takes to "love" someone.

I said you would know if you loved someone within a week, but you wait a few months to understand those feelings you harbor for someone. You can develop something with someone over a period of months, but ultimately you will always have the same feelings, just the intensity will change.

Off Topic / Re: Do Violent Video Games actually make people Violent?
« on: September 17, 2013, 07:14:54 PM »
Yes, I do think so. People who play violent video games excessively are more prone to becoming violent in the real world, it is an encouragement. If you noticed this too, almost all American massacre shooters were hardcore gamers to violent video games.
No, people who do that are mentally unstable. They would have done something just as sadistic, its in that persons nature. That doesn't mean we can't stop them, but blaming it on video games is a lame excuse for what could have been years of signs of mental instability.
