Before I even make a comment I want to know a few things about you.

  • Are you a programmer?
  • How are you making this? (From scratch using a programming language such as C++, Java, C# etc, or using Torque or UDK or something else (if it's something else please post what it is.))
  • Why are you making this? (Educational, money, fame, etc)
  • Are you making this alone?
You can't just come into the topic without even reading the first post and start asking questions that are answered in the thread. Its only 4 pages. But I guess I'll answer your questions again...

1. I've done a little bit of coding in blockland but that's all.
2. UDK or Unity3d. Probably UDK.
3. Its fun.
4. Right now yes. My friend kind of wants to help but our ideas, while at base very similar, differ greatly. Also he recently decided he wanted to make a 3d dwarf fortressy thing. Lunar also applied to help, but before I even said he if he could, he canceled on me.

I tried this technique last night and I was laying there for about 20 minutes when I got the urge to move. It was incredibly overwhelming and I ended up moving and just going to sleep normally.

Dont make overlapping items since it looks really horrible and can be seen in game
I don't know what you're talking about.

It actually is very similar... I'd make a new story, somewhere along the lines of you being one of the company businessmen, and your workers go on strike. The problem is, they've formed a union. You're one of the company mediators, and in this universe that's a big deal. In this alternate universe, strife is solved by combat. The first fight would be you versus one of the union members, with the more 'primitive' worker-type. Obviously it'd be really easy, and you'd have to learn basic world interaction. Of course, though, without the guidance of the corporate side of the company, the Workers end up screwing up the reactor, which I'd say causes all the Plasma to stay functional/stable. And once the reactor blows, all the rest of the plasma stops functioning/starts exploding, and the world is thrown into chaos. You have to survive and stuff, and rig yourself up one of the Plasma arms and find some weapons to survive the world.

Or something.

Make this game free-roam please.
Interesting story, but I'll stick with mine. Once the game is actually released you'll see that the story isn't similar.

Also it will be free-roam.

I haven't played with legos since I discovered Blockland. Or maybe a year before. I don't play Blockland anymore though.

Boobs definitely. But only if they're good. I don't like them huge or super small. Also when their nipples are the size of plates its disgusting.

Who wants to buy a server and get a few (3-4) people and play legit but make mobspawners and huuge houses and mines
So we buy your server and get stuffty hosting probably. And then we have to play how you want to play? Sounds like a good investment.

Ahem;

The afro haircut doesn't belong in steampunk at all, and the desert bandit hat looks wierd, (the spikes).
The nailgun's trigger is too small, and the plasma cannon lacks quite some detail.

Other than that, It's turning out quite nice.
Well its steampunk and some sort of plasma technology, but the games not going to be super serious. There will be some crazy/funny things like afros. Also I like the desert bandit hat.

Neither of those are done.

Is it like zelda?  if not then /support
You mean is the game similar to Zelda or will it end in failure like Packer's game?
Not really similar game wise at all.
And hopefully it doesn't end in failure. I've started game projects before and never even really started them. All I did was make like 1 or 2 models. So this is quite a lot more work and I'm excited about the game so it probably will be finished. The real question is how long will it take.

Also, Lunar I'm waiting for a reply to that email...

I was surprised how much better this was than part 1. Part 1 was a horrible boring movie. This one was definitely the best of the series.
