the e3 1345 v3 is more comparable to a i7 4790s, i7 4770 or something than the 4790k performance vise
also if you're looking into the possibility of getting a xeon you might want to compare to non-overclockable cpus only since you wouldn't be able to do that with a xeon anyway.

i found the opposite, but then again i might've been looking at different cpus than you
found some i7 4790k starting from 90 euros and up used vs e3 1285 v4 from 150ish and up used
but then again with ebay and bidding the prices will live untill they're sold

it seems the hdd should be rather easily removed, if you can you should try checking it in a seperate computer by using a disk utility like crystaldiskinfo or something similar

did a little spring cleanin' n wire management
GPUs out n dusted
drives same tbh
case fans removed and cleaned as well x3, they had gotten a bit gruesome :s
wires managed better, the front two fans were routed in front of the gpus before, tagged the sata cables for luls
stuff back in place, front fan wires hidden behind the mobo
back fan runs straight to this pin, best i could do here
babies in the crib
almost forgot the worlds ugliest bridge
old case without a PSU shroud, so the wires are a mess here
sata cables are kinda meh too
memories buried deep within
front n back, meh glossy finish on the door and some funky holes for a external radiator in the back
it's much better than when i started, in hindsight i should have taken pics of the mess before hand too
