Off Topic / trying to remember the name of a game i played a lot

it was an old game, i think on the atari. it was top down and you controlled a small square and navigated him through different screens or something, and you would find objects like keys and if you picked them up it would pretty much bind to your little square dude according to how you walked into it so sometimes you wouldnt be able to open a door because the key is not on the correct side of you

i apologize if it is a vague description. all i remember about it is what i just described, the fact that you fought dragons i think, and i used to call it the square game because thats how young i was. it was pretty neato

would it be possible for there to be an addon that adds an option to environment settings that sets an ambient sound to play constantly in the background? for example, creating a night time environment and adding a forest ambience to play constantly

Suggestions & Requests / Looking for "Apply Events" addon

I'm looking for an addon which would add a button above the "events" button that, when clicked, applied to the brick the events of whatever brick you previously looked at the events for. The button said "Apply Events" or maybe just "Apply", I don't really know for sure. I've done extensive searching and found nothing.

Suggestions & Requests / Teleport Bot Event

I need an event to teleport a bot to a certain named brick. Kind of like setPlayerTransform but a little different and for bots.

example:
onBotTouch > [NAMED BRICK] > setBotTransform > Relative, North, East, etc.

I also would like to know if its possible to make an event where, if you activate a brick, it would teleport a bot somewhere else?

Suggestions & Requests / Infantry Sword

What I'd like to see in Blockland is a cutlass that would be used by soldiers in the 1800s or 1700s, that looks like this.

If anybody could make that, I would appreciate it. It would be like the default sword but maybe with less damage and a slower attack rate.

Help / Skybox I made won't work

A skybox I made won't show up in-game. I've done everything I could think of to try and make it work but no matter what I do nothing seems to make it at least show up in game. I'm pretty sure some of the pictures are on wrong sides of the skybox, but I can't fix that unless I look at it in-game. Suggestions & Requests / Playertype Suggestion

Sorry if this is a lengthy request at all, but I would need a playertype that:
  • Walks a little slower than the default, but can sprint for a short period of time
  • Can't jet (that should be sorta obvious anyway i guess)
  • Can't jump
  • Can't use third person
  • Has 10 slots
And I'd also like to know if it's possible to make another playertype, with all these but it can't move. If I had items in the extra slots, and switched to the playertype which can't move, will the items be unaffected?

Suggestions & Requests / Need help with Environmental Control Events

Now I know that this isn't really a suggestion, but I didn't know where else to put it, because the only other place was Modification Help for people who need help modding and that's not what I need help with. So anyway, I recently downloaded Environmental Control Events by Headcrab Zombie (https://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=204172.0), and I put them in the addons folder, enabled them in-game, and they even show up in the output events list, but for some reason they never do anything. At first I tried onPlayerEnterZone > self > any "env_" event and nothing changed, so I then started with onActivate instead, but that didn't do anything either. I've asked the only other people I knew who might be able to help but they couldn't provide answers. What might be causing this?

I was wondering if there was some add-on that lets you play ambient sounds throughout the server. I know there's ambient sounds as music, but I was thinking of something that plays certain sounds at a random time server-wide. I've done all the searching I can, but I can't find anything that isn't just music.

So basically I want a tornado in Blockland. It would start if you said /startTornado or something like that. If it comes by any bricks it would fake kill them and toss them around a ton. Vehicles would also be affected by it and would break in the tornado. As time would pass by, the tornado would get larger, and be able to take larger bricks. Lightning will be there too, if it's possible. And there would be a small chance that lightning can strike the player. If you've ever used the tornado mod in Gmod you probably see what I'm getting at. It would also make the skybox grey, or even change the texture to a cloudy one. I've always been interested in tornado stuff so this wold be really fun :P

How about somebody makes an add-on where you download a pack of sounds (of course in the zip) which are all intentionally left as empty noises (named Ambient1 through Ambient10 or something), so you can edit the noise and when you do one is randomly played at a random time? The time that separates the noises would range from 5 seconds to 30 seconds just so none overlap each other? I want. Anybody who makes this receives my eternal love.

Help / Crash whenever somebody is killed

So whenever I join a minigame and something is killed by something else, wether it be a bot or a player, BL crashes. I can't find any way to fix this. Please help, this is crucial since I am making a map that involves dying.
