Games / Quick Steam Question
« on: July 01, 2009, 08:04:31 PM »
It says I have 21.5 hours on Source SDK Base 2007 for some reason, and it wasn't there before. Is it because of Sourcemods? I play Empires 2.24 a lot, so is that it?

Games / La Tale
« on: June 10, 2009, 07:53:48 PM »
I'm too lazy to dig through the Games section and find the old topic, so I'm making this one
http://latale.ogplanet.com/main.og
From Wikipedia:
Quote
LaTale is a 2D side-scrolling online game developed by Actoz Soft. Gamers take the role of adventurers in a mythological fantasy world.
It was launched in South Korea in February 2006 where it was well received. In February 2007, Actoz entered into an agreement with Chinese game operator Shanda to open a server in mainland China.[1] In March 18, 2008 OGPlanet signed a contract with Actoz Soft to bring LaTale to North America.
Sign-ups for North America closed-beta testing began on July 10, 2008. Testers were selected from 22 July to 30 July. Closed-beta testing began on July 31, 2008[2] and ended on August 6, 2008. An open-beta test was held for fileplanet subscribers from August 15, 2008 to August 18, 2008. Official open-beta testing began on August 21, 2008 and ended on September 3, 2008. LaTale was officially released on September 18, 2008.

Gameplay of LaTale is based on most MMORPGs. Players control a single character that combat monsters, obtain and complete quests, and participate in other activities. The game has a 2D side-scrolling setting similar to MapleStory and Ghost Online. The keyboard is used to hotkey character actions while the mouse is primarily used to speak to Non-Player Characters (NPCs).
It's basically Maplestory done right from what I remember. I'm just downloading it again, not sure what the community is like now. Just wanted to get BL people back into it again. Now go play, you forgeters.

edit: http://latale.aeriagames.com because some BLers play that
also there's tons of new updates in the ogplanet one, new class engi. :3

AGFDFGHAHGS ZOMBIE INVASION

Zombies are invading your home trying to eat your brains, and you must defend yourself with an army of plants. You unlock more and more plants as you go along, and there are tougher and tougher zombies. Multiple levels throughout your front lawn, your backyard with a pool, and even your roof! There's also Minigames, Puzzle mode, Survival mode, and a Zen Garden. It's very fun, and worth the $10. (I bought myself and Nickthesushi a copy :3)

Games / Knytt Series
« on: May 19, 2009, 10:35:53 PM »
Felt this deserved it's own topic. Post your Knytt Stories levels too :D
I don't think these have been posted yet.  At least not with pictures which is the only appropriate way to post.

Knytt: A platformer with unique atmosphere and style.  Very little danger, relies mainly on exploration.  Very cool.

Knytt Stories: Sequel to knytt.  Supports level modules so you can get more content to play through.  A couple of mind-bending moments and definitely worth a play.

Not sure if anyone made a topic about this yet.
It's made by Tripwire Interactive, which did Red Orchestra. I pre-purchased it, it looks pretty fun.
Anyone else getting it?

Edit: Shat, SolarFlare made one just a page back. Ah well.

Games / Penguins Arena: Sedna's World

A pretty fun game where you play as a moderately customizable penguin. There's powerups, achievements, and I believe you can make maps. It's pretty fun so far, I've only played with bots though, since there's never servers up. Also you can view the trailer on the game's page on Steam. Robo Noob bought me it :3

Games / Saint's Row 2 Requirements Question
« on: April 05, 2009, 09:30:31 PM »
I'm planning on getting Saint's Row 2 on PC, and I need to know if I can run it.
Specs:

Edit: Also, I can run Valve games fine and only get bad lag on the finale in Blood Harvest on L4D. Also framerate drops a bit noticably when there's tons of stuff in one spot on most games, mainly TF2.

Help / Servers won't verify my ID.
« on: March 17, 2009, 08:32:43 PM »
Ok, I've tried connecting to multiple servers all saying that the server couldn't verify my ID. The only server that would allow me to connect was Badspot's Block Party. I've tried re-entering my key. Any advice?
