apparently the storm is going through yet another eyewall replacement cycle, so it's expected to strengthen even further still as it passes over the leeward islands. This is absolutely nuts.

Apparently it's the strongest Atlantic hurricane since the 80s
it's the strongest hurricane to ever be outside of the Gulf or the Carribean as well.

Now 916mb 920mb was actually just reported as 916mb now and slowly dropping according to aerial recon, with 185mph winds with gusts to >=220mph. In regards to where it's probably gonna go, though, this is a great resource (despite seeming a little outdated, it gives a good general forecast for what's going to happen later in the week). It's basically forecasted to pen up just south of Florida, and then where it goes next depends on where the high pressure systems let it move.

Also, Jose is now a thing, and there's also tropical depression THIRTEEN hovering around in the bay of Campeche.

unfortunately, no it doesn't
yeah i kind of figured. i think connection attempts are also viewable in console which was why I wasn't sure to begin with. I'm fuzzy when it comes to my knowledge on this stuff anyway since I haven't touched the game in a while

UDP port 111 DDoS attacks are a rudimentary attempt at reflective amplification, since it's the portmapper service port for Linux boxes(in other words, it acts as a 411 for a Linux PC's ports by compiling a list, which takes up CPU).

also in relation to passwording your server to attempt to stop DDoS attacks, it's plausible, but unlikely. All anyone has to do to find your IP is to try to connect iirc, so that's how they're getting IPs, but i can't remember if passwording your server hides the actual IP connection dialog behind the password check or not (or if that even matters).

Each run of the GFS and ECMWF(European model) has shown Irma being steered farther and farther south, into the Greater/Lesser Antilles of the Caribbean, with the strength of a cat4/5. Keep in mind, also, that it's already at category 2 strength.
That video was such bullstuff lmao. He even said in the video that the model is in effect useless after 5 days for predictions and nowhere in the first 8 days did it get close to making landfall.
He said the model is notably accurate for the 1-5 day range and noted that there were several possible tracks the storm could take after the 5 day point.
To be fair, though the GFS model typically predicts farts have cat5 strength past the 5 day mark.

also the channel in the OP is insane so there's that

skyrim has native support for video files but it's never used iirc

current minimum pressure is 938mb, which is between category 4 and 5 levels. if it were still offshore it would be rapidly intensifying right now

it's been officially declared a hurricane, upgraded from a mild tropical storm

partially unrelated, but I've been keeping an eye on it for a little while now. It's been moving extremely slowly, 10mph with occasional times where it's been recorded at 2mph, so it has a lot of potential to intensify. Plus, that update indicates that it's going to slow down even more as it approaches, which means it can get even more strength

li-ion batteries won't overcharge unless there's a problem with the battery
it seems like with how nintendo products have their batteries set up they're more likely to experience overcharge than normal. I've had my wiimotes die from sitting too long in the charger port back when the Wii was a thing.

surprise surprise, comic authors make a weird comic. It's not like this hasn't been a thing for a while now
