I've scrapped my old ship and started working on a new one (it isn't my fault really, I never finish anything ): ), and I'm really excited that I managed to capture a certain aesthetic that I've been after since getting this game, but I'm starting to mess up the composition. But uh here are some screenshots. Hard to tell what's going on right now, but hopefully I can clean it up eventually.

Please ignore the red text. They picked a bad key to bind their debug mode since it is the same as the steam screenshot button.

was doodling in ms paint and drew up some scenes.





This one is progress on a remake of the first one, which I'm enjoying right now. I might redo all of them, actually. Right click and open in new tab for full size..

edit: fixing up the lineart a bit.





And also these were drawn a while ago. I just wanted to draw armor designs and girls are just a bit more fun to draw. Friend wanted me to draw Fernet from Red Barrel, so I just said why not. Was also to practice some different lighting methods.

I hope you all know that going for an ultimate idea of realism in space combat will eventually end in a most likely boring, instantaneous execution. Should try and stop being realistic and just enjoy broadside ship cannons, gorgeous views from exposed bridges, and technology that looks like it was made in the 80's

I never think details like that are too important. Thinking about actual fighters and how science fiction fighters would work out then vital parts like engines and whatnot are exposed, but thats why pilots need to be able to maneuver their fighters to avoid damage. Otherwise its no longer a fighter and more like a gunship.
I feel like people think of the highest efficiency possible too much that it distracts them from making more imaginative creations and being able to create stuff from their fantasies.

also, it was cool seeing you build that when you helped out on my server, badge ^^

It sounds like you need to adjust your wheel settings. It could be a combination of numerous amount of things, like suspension, power, dampening, friction. There are tutorials on youtube that can help you out with that.

edit: not me though, since I haven't messed with wheels at all so far ^^;

just a quick bump.

Also, would anyone like to help me out in finishing my ship that i've been working on? It is about 60% done, most of which is incomplete is the interior, but I could use fresh ideas and perspectives on how I can finish up the top and bottom of it. I'm anxious to get this finished
