I don't think he meant bad by it. But yeah I didn't want to share my build so quickly after Wrap showed his, even without giving feedback. But there's nothing better in this game than being able to fly something that you've built and is your own and Wrap sure did make a really good ship for that. It looks really fun

I just want to build things that look nice and be able to see it function.

oh yes badger, i saw your comment ^^

a shame you cant find the time to build. This game is very time consuming, yeah. Dont worry man, you'll find a good schedule to satisfy those urges, i'm sure!

I've been working on this ship for the past month. Not really taking that long, but I tend to lose concentration after about 30 minutes of building, so progress has been spread real thin.

Going to works as a sort of battleship that works in both space and atmosphere.

Since I can't run planets I'm hoping I'll be able to finish this and get to watch someone else use it with planets. That would be awesome.

was suppose to be longer and less beefy, but im having issues trying to bring it all together in the back. No rush though; I'll figure something out eventually

graphics never was much of an importance to me so i always have my games on lowest settings just so i can get good framerate and input reaction for more high paced games.
wouldn't know for space engineers, though, since i cant use dx11. But still, I kind of expected i wouldnt be able to run it, but at least its going to make the youtubers who play the game way more entertaining now that they can use planets.
would also be nice to at least make a ship that people can use on the workshop and being able to see my creation in relation to planets.'

but for you guys who can run it, is it great? i can only think of the possibilities. And speaking of possibilities, this is one of the coolest battles ive seen, with the sunsets, falling out of the skiy, explosions and everything: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWec3vxAw5g

i have no motive. this is all just to fill time whenever its least stressful or for stress relief.

the recent photoshop drawings are real calming though

edit:
this drawing is too large and is killing my attention span. gave up on the legs so i guess this is as far as i'll get

Ion thrusters will definitely not do. They said it takes a lot of consideration balancing the weight out with enough hydrogen thrust and containers, so it depends on the weight of your ship.

The game doesn't recognize my dx11 graphics card when playing the game and instead runs it on the dedicated graphics card which only has dx9.

I hope the developers can fix that.

New Update: Planets have been released.

There is so much to cover but I will give a short list of highlights, and as usual you can see the update here: http://forum.keenswh.com/threads/update-01-108-planets.7372785/

Planets are not generated in worlds and are instead placed manualy, or by default based on your starting world.

There are new starting maps including Easy Starts for various planet types.

Sabaroid bug-like aliens will now spawn on certain planets and are highly agressive.

Pirate bases spawn randomly on planets, and players will be attacked by Pirate Drones from time to time.

Atmospheric thrusters are now in the game. These thrusters are powerful, but only work within an atmosphere.

Small ships now have oxygen vents.

And more. Have an enjoyable engineering, guys.

Do you use the Radeon switchable graphics? I have that, and from what I could look up it seems Space Engineers doesn't recognize the switchable guaphics and runs th gam on your dedicated gpu I think. Yo. Can disable that with nvidia but not with radon. Since I've been having the same problem.
