Modification Help / Sound pack.

I'm working on a guitar sound pack, and I was wondering how you should package your sound packs. I know all sounds should be WAVs, but what should I name the add-on folder, and what should I put in the folder?

Here we go.
I decided to work a little bit on my builds, and here's the result, the small but cool Bedroom Visitor's Center. I was messing around a bit and came up with this style, however, this is the first time I've built it on a large scale (this sits on a 32x32 while I started the style on a 16x16)
Anyway, it started off as a house, but when I found I couldn't stick a stairwell in the 6x6 hole that runs through each floor, I improvised (with kind of a locking floor type thing- it's hard to explain.) anyway, this is what resulted.


This is the overall tower. I feel like this would make a good control tower for airports, as well.


The lobby.


Every visitors center has to have worthless stuff.


Bedroom model. This was the only floor I liked (there are four floors above the lobby)


Bedroom history, above the model. Notice the decreasing floor size. Also, it says history, but it turned out to be fact. The other wall says "other stuff"


Bathrooms are above the facts.


I'm really proud of that toilet :P


And the last floor before the observation deck was too small to do anything. Sorry.


The tower's deck labels each thing you see out each window. For the sake of not having too many pictures, I'll skip on the other three sides (just bed, door, and wall)

Not that this is the biggest nuisance in this game, but it would be nice to have something to take the guesswork out of North/South/East/West and xyz measurements (more xy than z) besides setting up a little pole with the information on it...

WORK IN PROGRESS!

I UNDERSTAND that this is nowhere near a finished build, I'm posting what I have so far and will UPDATE it as I WORK on it.

Anyway, now what I have that out of the way, I'm working on an application for BDU. It's a camp/campus/headquarters for BDU (obviously) So far, it consists of two administration buildings, three cabins, one meeting hall and a mess hall. When I'm done, it will consist of grass, paths, a garage, INTERIOR OBJECTS, painted buildings, and some other touches.

But tell me what you think of what I have SO FAR.

I still need to add the spire on the north tower and do the base towers.

Edit: I also noticed that I still need to paint the skybands (the darker grays 1/3 and 2/3 the way up each tower)

Add-Ons / TSCS- The smarter color set.

My first completed add-on.

I figured I'd start small here. While this but a lowly color set, I do believe I have engineered a better color set- one based around reasoning and logic.

VERSION ONE
First of all, for basic colors, the set utilizes three shades of both RGB and CMY. The grays are smoothly transitioned. The Tans and Browns have more shades than you could shake a stick at, and the trans are more transparent based on there shade, resulting in much cleaner clears.

(note: unfortunately, the transparent browns and tans were the last row, and wouldn't fit in. Sorry)



Please note that I'm open to suggestions and will make changes as necessary.

VERSION TWO
Version two takes out half the grays and and half the browns, combines them, and adds a soft & special row. This version also has the elusive trans brown.

VERSION THREE
The fabled version three is out. I (kind of) overhauled the system here, opting for ONE shade of RGB and CMY and then adding soft and dark versions of both. I also added NINE browns for your using pleasures. Included as well is a full gray scale, thee shades of trans brown, a COMPLETELY see-through brick (allowing you to paint the brick render-free) and an entire row of off-colors that I couldn't find another place to put. Stay tuned for version four, and, as always, please C & C the current version.

Suggestions & Requests / Game-wide cash.

The cash mod works great in-game, but unfortunately, with no way to transfer ownership of a specific building, and there's no official way to "buy" anything in the game, what's the point?

Cash mod works great technically, but it loses all purpose because it doesn't carry over, and you don't spend it building. In most servers, it just accumulates over time and I think I've only done something with it once.

So what I'm proposing is a change in V10 so that th game comes with cash mod, and depending on the settings, it costs money to build in servers and your money carries over onto other servers.

This has the advantage of making money useful aaaaaand, here's the kicker.

In servers where you want to get some serious building done, you enable brick cost and boom! No more spam! Noobs won't come into your server and spend money just to lay down a few 1x1s. Once more, It probably wouldn't be much harder to customize cost for each individual brick.

This would significantly cut down on spam in more serious servers, give money practical use, and add a new element of game play to the game.

So what do you think?

Okay, I was again afflicted with the "forgottosaves" Fortunately, the Twin Towers will be easily remade with the duplicator, so no big deal. It won't be exactly the same, but it'll get the job done when I want to build more stuff.

Anyway, the twin towers, while not cosmetically identical to the real McCoy, are constructed with the same tube and central core construction on a smaller scale, while still preserving the same proportions (roughly)

I plan on fleshing out the second house and adding a few more things later on.

I'm currently looking to record some blockland videos, however, I don't know if this is a problem with my computer or what, but I've found that the game slows down and the recording becomes choppy when recording (I use camstudio).

Is there some way to use the .rec files that blockland's video recordings create, or to eliminate the choppiness produced  by using other programs to record blockland videos?
