I like Ep2 becuase it has less small indoor environments and has large, out door environments. My favorite part of the entire series were the parts where you were going through City 17, I love that kind of urban warfare which you really only get during Anticitizen One.
-snip-Mad. Epic.
The "A path beyond' seems like a wonderful game.I'd love to do TF2, but not everyone has it, or even Steam for that matter. No more than eight guys are coming, probably, and more than one probably is going to be playing on a laptop.
It also looks easier on the computer yet more things to do with vehicles and all that.
You should ask for specs from the other computers to find a good game to fit that can be run from all of them.
Real men use ethernet cords.
what game(s)?Probably Urban Terror, just because not everyone is going to have TF2 and it kind of sucks with eight players.
One way or another, the computers you use in a LAN game need to be connected to a hub or router some how. This can be wireless or through Ethernet cables.Okay. Thanks.
There are methods for connecting computers without a central hub, but for gaming (and for the sake of simplicity) a router is the best choice.
If your computers are getting their internet connection from your network then it is connected to your network (obviously).
For LAN your internet connection doesn't really matter. Yeah, just hook up all the computers to the router (either directly or through the Ethernet wiring in your house.)Okay, I don't have Ethernet wiring in my house. If everyone is getting internet from my network, can they still connect through LAN, or does it need to be physically wired in.
You'll need a decent amount of bandwidth and a reliable PC to run the server.12Mbps? I doubt that's the measure of bandwidth, but that's the most I know about my internet service.
