Those two games are great starting games. SSBB could last you years, and City Folk is under the Animal Crossing umbrella of titles, which are all kick-ass fun. Be weary, however, if you're into FPS games of playing anything on computer, because you'll eventually revert or just go to PC gaming, and your Wii will collect dust.
But if you have WiFi, there are people here that'll play with you. You'll enjoy it, just don't expect it to last that long if you have a good computer.

Wii is great if you're not a hardcore gamer. Graphic freaks feel like they were slapped, FPS junkies feel abandoned, hardcore console players feel neglected, and most people drop it when the gimmick wears off; it's just not conducive to serious gaming.
