United Statesian!!!!!

Some languages have a word for it, but English doesn't. Like Spanish they can say estadounidense which means what you said, but even they usually just say americano.

Way to be a dumbass foreigner and call United States citizens "Americans" when that refers to Mexicans, Canadians, Brazilians, etc., anyone living in the North and South America.

Actually Americans refers to people from the United States. Sure America is 2 continents, but that is just how it came out. There is not any other alternative to "American" besides "person from the US" which is too long to write.

64-bit.

I'm mostly getting it because my Minecraft server uses about ~1,000,000 memory when it has about four people on it, according to the task manager, and so it lags a lot.

Well minecraft fits into the poorly optimized category.

Dell sells RAM cards, I have a Dell computer, so.

It seems I have another slot for a RAM card, unless I looked at the wrong thing.

I have 4GB of RAM right now. I want more.  :cookieMonster:

Well more is not going to help you at all. No game is going to use over 4 gigs of ram and if it is it is poorly optimized. You can't just throw in 8 or 16 gigs of ram and expect your CPU and GPU to magically be good.

I think I'll be getting a Dell one. At least 2GB of RAM on it would be nice, 4GB if possible.

I haven't really looked inside this computer yet, so I'm not sure.

I'll have to check that first, of course.

4 GB is what you will want, 2 gigs is gonna be used up mostly by the OS. I don't know what you mean by dell, does dell sell ram? corsair and patriot are usually the cheapest on newegg.

Only way to figure it out is to get an extra PSU and try it, if it works then you know the PSU fried, else you know the mobo fried.

All that matters is the amount of RAM, and that it will fit your current RAM slots. the frequency and speed of the RAM is all just a gimmick to get more money and sky-rocket the cost of it. But I would still recommend a well-known brand to avoid crappy made RAM.

A computer doesn't just run on damn RAM, A graphics card, a processor, and a Hard Drive...

If you're going to post specs, post EVERYTHING or don't bother doing it :P

also

Actually it kind of does lol, unless you want him to post the power supply and motherboard.

This is the card I will be trying out on Tuesday. I hope that it's all I need to stabalize my PC so I can play STO again. I'm anxious to see how it turns out.

I had dual 7600 gts, but not overclocked like those, and a simple game like WoW was unplayable in cities and large battlegrounds. Wouldn't count on it running STO that well.

Anyway on-topic, 5770s are still the best bang for the buck, but they are $150 and you said you can go up to $300, so if you really do want to max out that budget, a 5870 will be the best you can get for under $300.

Where the hell does he live? The street?

I don't really like this guy. Everything he says seems like a lie, I'm pretty sure underage drinking is illegal in Ireland, too.

I'm pretty sure in Ireland you can drink at any age in a private residence with parent consent. So you could drink at 6 years old in your house if your parents consent. Anywhere public you must be 18.
