Memorization is fantastic, but it won't help you learn new songs unless you have someone play it for you repeatedly. Being able to read music is typically better if you want to pick up new songs.
while being able to read music is definitely better, you should realize that with memorization you get much more understanding of the music itself and you can play it faster. Sometimes that really doesn't matter, but in that song's case, yeah, it matters.

And doing a Queen song wouldn't get him in trouble?
nope, he usually does billy joel or beatles songs but some kid suggested it

by the way before someone comments that it's really difficult:
it is, but the way he teaches it you're not reading music at all and you're just memorizing it.

my piano teacher was about to let me play this but then he decided that he didn't want to because it was from a video game and the last time he trusted media he got in trouble for it (kid did a speech from the Hangover)
GOD damnit.

now i have to do Somebody To Love by Queen, decent song to do in place of it but still :(

i would have had nostalgia attacks on stage.

I like pepsi better than coke.
I don't really like the vanilla flavoring thing they went for in coke.

"openForAppend, which simply adds onto a file."

"If you do this more, it will add more lines containing whatever is in openForAppend."

"After the last one, the file should now read:

'blah
blah'"

what
i'm only seeing the last 2 bro.
that's all i needed though.
not sure if i'm missing something.

actually, i didn't mention it in my first comment.
you define openForWrite well, but you give little to no description of openForAppend and from what you've given us, i can only see that it's the same as openForWrite?

this actually looks pretty nice. i've never really learned how to do it.
for whatever reason, one time i tried it and it didn't work. however I have a feeling i know what i did:

Code: [Select]
%file.openForRead("config/client/database/database.cs");
%file.writeline(%name SPC %id);

hurr.

anyways, nice tutorial.
