what i do is get crafting to the point where you can make either gold rings or emerald rings, then make gold rings / emerald rings. they're decent xp and very nice money.
from the last i could remember emerald rings doubled your money but you couldn't make much of them.. free trade coming out isn't gonna help that method, sadly. Miners will probably overcharge for their emeralds.

i'll find a better way sooner or later.

seriously moneymaking isn't that hard
i'm fishing, as already stated, and making money off of that. started off with 150k from rune ess, now i've got 20k feathers which is 280k. 130k profit in a day.
Jesus, I do know how hard it is, but you can make money other ways than the overused ones.

then why in the hell are you complaining about having no money
you may not have 1m or anything but 150k is enough. I've only got 50k over 150k and i'm about to get fishing 80 later.
