Games / Question about GTA V Steam Client
« on: December 03, 2017, 06:20:51 AM »
I currently have GTA V installed, but not on Steam, on the Rockstar Social Club client. If I buy the game on Steam, will I need to re-install it although it's already installed?

Not really a suggestion or request but I traced some graffiti from pictures in London, however I haven't made them into prints in case you wanted them as ModTer, or custom sized bricks, so feel free to crop certain ones out if you wanted to use them for a city build or whatever.

The image is a lot larger, I've just scaled this one down for preview, imgur link at the bottom.

Came across this video in my recommended, it's a family videoing their journey in a graffiti-filled NYC train in June 1987. Found this really awesome and intriguing.

Games / [session] - kickstarter fully funded, ends 21st december
« on: May 04, 2017, 08:22:54 AM »

It's heavily inspired by EA Black Box's Skate series, and the makers of the game recently gained backing and access to a motion capture studio, so the game will actually take shape soon! I have linked their facebook page below since that's where they're most active, since all of their YouTube videos are very outdated.

Off Topic / Maxime 2.0
« on: April 18, 2017, 04:01:43 PM »
Back in December 2016, a YouTube user named Maxime paid a lot of money to have this as an ad that came up before YouTube videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGxIjEa87i4 (just him trolling by mumbling into a mic to a backing track).

Somebody has now done the same but with a 240p BO2 Tomohawk montage with the title in the video spelt wrong. 20,000,000 views overall, that must've been expensive as hell.

Off Topic / M.I.A Rant
« on: April 15, 2017, 11:19:46 AM »
M.I.A (Mathangi Arulpragasam) is a 41 year old ""rapper"" from the UK and I honestly don't know why she is as popular as she is. She is getting 8-9 figure view counts on her music videos on YouTube and it really annoys me.

Exhibit A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewRjZoRtu0Y - Paper Planes.
This song annoys me because firstly, she isn't singing nor rapping. She is talking. She isn't speaking anywhere near quick enough to be rapping, and she is talking in a monotone way which eliminates the fact of her even "singing". Sure I guess it's a different style, but let's face it, she sounds like she hasn't slept in 48 hours and wanted to record one more song, she sounds like she can't be bothered which reflects how much effort she puts into her songs.
Next, the lyrics. Each line is repeated twice which shows how stupid this song is, couldn't she have come up with different lines to replace the repeated one? Or does she just sing anything that's handed to her?
The appeal for this song could also just be the music itself rather than her singing but still.

Exhibit B: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uYs0gJD-LE - Bad Girls.
This song from about 5 years after Exhibit A shows the exact same thing, lazy monotone speaking accompanied by drum machines. The lyrics are also pretty stupid in this one, and the hook and bridge is repeated so many times it almost outweighs the verses.

Exhibit C: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-Nw7HbaeWY - Borders.
Yet again Mathangi is back again with some more incoherent speaking where she rhymes "freedom" with "we'dom"? Does that even mean anything? She also rhymes "them" with "them". Also she says "what's up with that?" after every line in the very long chorus which shows some really clever and meaningful song writing

Sorry for sounding so aggressive, I just wanted to get this off of my chest, there are so many talented artists getting 20,000 views on their videos while this stuff is getting 20,000,000 - 110,000,000 views.

Off Topic / Some pages not opening in Chrome and Firefox
« on: April 02, 2017, 09:25:49 AM »
Some websites open and some don't in Chrome and Firefox, so for example, I can go on reddit, BLF, YouTube, Facebook and many other sites on them both, but so many don't. For example, I can't open imgur or cdkeys, I don't even get an error, the spinner in the tab just keeps spinning forever. Even on reddit, 50% of the links I click on do the same, they open in a new tab and spin forever.

I've tried loads of tutorial videos and none of them worked, what is happening? D:

Off Topic / Anarchist filmmakers vandalising stuff for no reason
« on: March 29, 2017, 01:55:22 PM »

They've been active since 2000

Here are a selection of their stuffty videos:

"#blacklivesmatter : Hollywood"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csREW5piyvg
In this video they glue the names of some black guys killed by police in the name of BLM onto some stars in LA

"Greece Lightning : The Alexis Grigoropoulos Riots"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoZdRGSjKWI
In this video they take part in a riot in Greece and spray paint their little logo

"forget the Police"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=886_mZkj4Ho
In this video they paint a stupid message on a billboard

"Legalise Crime"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PvwtO_44Uw
In this video it's just graffiti

"No More Tigers, No More Woods"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGqtPdQosKI
Vandalising Annoying Orange's golf course

"Control Alter Delete"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_hegqlXOG4
Vandalising loads of billboards

The guys behind the videos are known for paying homeless people to fight on camera and to further make money off of DVDs of these fights (search for 'Bumfights' DVDs) and kidnapping homeless people and spraying them with pressure washers (Also search for Bumfights)

You've got to admire the effort, but the motives are stupid.

Games / Yooka-Laylee
« on: March 18, 2017, 05:33:38 PM »

Yooka-Laylee is a revival of the 3D platforming genre by ex-employees of Rare. The Kickstarter was created on the 1st May 2015 and £2.1m ($2.6m) was raised. A steam page has been launched and the game will unlock on the 11th April 2017. The game will be £34.99 ($39.99) for non-Kickstarter backers, there will also be a deluxe edition which is currently £42.99 ($49.99?). It is not clear what it will add at the moment.
