The idea is good, but the overall structure you are presenting is not the best. And won't humans trying to mine just lead to campers in the mines? You need to think of all the situations in which the game could just get down right boring. Can their be maybe some side objectives, among other things?

I used my ps3 controller with xpadder on blockland once. A joypad is just too touchy for games like blockland where you need to move precisely.

My philosophy on this type of thing is what happens happens. Animals are made to reproduce, and thats why females start periods at such young ages like 10-12. We are suppose to reproduce, age is not really a factor in that.
