Gallery / Mountain or illusion?

So I was looking for ways to make giant detailed mountains without putting in literally thousands of bricks into the detail.

Is it a mountain or clever illusion?











Up close I use smaller bricks for detail and farther away I use bigger cube bricks so people get a weird optical illusion of a bigger mountain but farther away.

Unlike traditional methods of all cube terrain up close or far away.

I was wondering if someone can make some kind of black plague.

It could be transmitted through events or like zombies or whatever.

Damages the player over time start developing black spots.

Very hard to cure.

% chance to infect others if they get too close.

General Discussion / These false reviews need to stop.

I see a bunch of reviews like the game is dead, this is not true. Plenty of people still play the game.

There is also bullstuff reviews like "my maps and interiors are gone!" That stuff happened before the steam release. Now people who never heard of blockland will read this review on steam and they'll think features were cut.




Also this stuff on the steam discussion page needs to go. Steam users are going to check out these discussions for questions on whether they should buy the game or not and are bombarded with this bullstuff.

Considering how these forums are private and requires a key how are these steam users suppose to participate here? They can't.

"POSTS HERE WILL BE IGNORED" doesn't exactly invite new steam users.

General Discussion / Are we able to pre-bake shadows or something?

I know I had this discussion before but is there seriously nothing we can do about the shadows?

Anyone wanting shadows on is at a severe disadvantage 100% of the time. It makes using shadows absolutely worthless as it will negatively affect your multiplayer experience because people are running around with no shadows and are able to see with little to no issue.

Can we have shadows pre-loaded?

Is there a way to detect if players can't run shadows?

Or at least be able to detect darkness and shade accordingly?

Shadows off also turns off fog.

What you see here is a work in progress and not the finished product.

It's more of a fantasy medieval RP than a realistic one so it is not really in competition for the SS medieval RP as the game is significantly different.

I'm looking for builders, modelers, etc.

So before the removal of terrains water use to have waves, is that still possible?

Also the water texture was able to be manipulated which I can't really describe but it was basically a ripple effect. Can that still be done?

General Discussion / Lego Island creator Wes Jenkins is dead - I want help in finishing lego island.

Wes Jenkins the creator of Lego Island died recently on september 24th.

I built lego island awhile ago but haven't finished it. I tried but after upgrading to a new computer my lego island CD seems to be unplayable on my computer so I can't play it to take pictures. Interest in the build kinda fell off after that.


If I get enough interest in support I'd like some people to help me finish lego island. I need custom vehicles/items/sounds/decals/misc add-ons. I need a few builders for minor stuff. I need people to take multiple screenshots of the original game.

I'd like to include actual functional minigames just like in the real game.

Still undecided if I want to use custom bricks or not.

I may have to start from scratch for the third time because I'm still determining if I should use modter or not with custom textures.

I'd like to dedicate the build in the memory of Wes Jenkins.

I searched and I haven't seen anything like this made before.

So the max limit to set delays with events is 30,000. I find this too low.

I want to set even longer delays if possible.

Help / bot respawn time not working.

I can set bot respawn time from 0 to 360 but it doesn't seem to make any noticeable difference.

I'm looking for a more darker day/night cycle.

During the night it's pitch black but during the day it's a dark grey which almost seems like it's extremely cloudy.

I just want it dark enough that people can't tell what time it is.

Massive wildfires sweeping through California have killed at least 29 people and damaged thousands of homes, businesses and other buildings, authorities said.

 More than half of the deaths occurred in Sonoma County alone, officials said. The collective death toll from this week's fires matches the number of fatalities in the 1933 Griffith Park Fire in Los Angeles, the deadliest wildfire in California history.

Firefighters were still battling 21 large wildfires in multiple counties as of Thursday morning. Intensified by strong winds, the flames have charred more than 190,000 acres of land, damaged or destroyed at least 3,500 structures and forced more than 20,000 residents to evacuate, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Rob Schneider wants to make one thing clear about Harvey Weinstein -- the mogul is no lone wolf, and Rob knows it because he too was loveually harassed by a director.

While Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan have all blasted Weinstein for his behavior -- Rob told us this kind of harassment and abuse also happens to men. He recalled a famous "gross director" making a semi-nude pass at him.

Rob says the director is now dead, but the incident has clearly stuck with him. Likewise, actor Terry Crews went public today with a run-in he had with a male studio exec ... just last year.
