Seems like a mix of fallout + starfield to create the best RPG possible and made by obsidian.

Bethesda bought Fallout because it already had established lore.

Bethesda's only motivation to keep making elder scrolls games is by piggy backing off the established lore they already created years ago back when they actually had creative talent.

Starfield is a new IP with no established lore.

Just remember, we could of had a spin-off fallout made by Obsidian but bethesda decided to use their own people to make F76 instead
