What, cheating?
Rubber banding is technically not cheating as it's there to balance the game.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: RTB Add-on Idea: RTB's IRC from your phone.
« on: January 31, 2013, 08:28:04 AM »
forget Apple.
android only or it will suck
Way to be ignorant Android and/or anti-Apple fanboys. You guys are just being stupid. I guarantee you a large majority of the forum use Apple products so it would be an extremely illogical to make it for iOS.

This. Probably couldn't even work with iPhone's "security" issues.
Not a bad idea though, if someone could pull it off.
What in the world are you talking about? There are plenty of messaging apps on iOS, of course something like this would work. There's no reason it shouldn't.

Pretty sure if there is any kind of IRC App on a phone, you can connect to the RTB IRC. I assume you can do this considering that you don't need RTB to use it's IRC, and you can connect to it from almost any IRC program.

And wasn't the RTB IRC supposed to be removed in v4?
Do you realise rtbc is not based on irc
IIRC, RTB is no longer based on IRC and instead uses it's own system as of v4.

A land far, far away.
That land is called... Belgium.
That's that place with chocolates and stuff right?

In any case, お帰りなさい, as I notice you're still weeabooっぽい, even if it's for a short time before you poof away into nothing.

You have too many friends.
7 friends, 3 of whom are real-life friends, is perfect for me. I could never live with that long of a friend's list.

Where in the world did you come from, it's been ages since I last saw you post.

Okay, so I'm trying to recode one of my add-ons because it's broken with default add-ons. In the process, I decided to use Clockturn's LoopHandler resource. Anyways, my problem is that this function:

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Server Shader Settings?
« on: January 30, 2013, 05:19:18 AM »
What about people with bad computers?
Shaders don't greatly impact the game's performance. Shadows are the things that greatly impact the game's performance.

If your computer can't run shaders, you should get a new computer.

Is there actually anything you can do with it other than roblox stuff?
Garry's Mod uses Lua. Actually, a large number of games use Lua. A few programs, such as VLC, also use Lua.

Every language that doesn't use ; is confusing me to hell
:c
So, Lua doesn't suck, but rather is different?

Lua sucks, python is no way easier than torquescript
Lua is still very simple. I really want to know why you say it sucks though.

Have you even touched Python remotely? While I haven't coded anything serious with it and am still experimenting and learning about it, it's a very simple language.

EDIT: OP, you can ignore everything Zeblote and I argue about if you're seeing this. It's completely irrelevant to your question.

personally I'd advise you to learn an easier programming language first just to understand the basics, and then move to torquescript when you're more comfortable
As elm said, TorqueScript is pretty easy. Though, there are easier languages to learn.

are you handicapped
there is no easier language
Are you sure?

I did modify it, and there shouldnt be any players outside minigame since its default, and I have a workaround for players loading.
That's a horrible excuse for not doing a simple check. Skimping out on checks like that only lead to disasters and headaches.

Many of the forum members don't seem to take too kindly to people who are just learning how to code, Zeblote here is an excellent example of that time and time again.

I post this everywhere as I feel it would be the easiest way for people learning how to code for the first time, like you. Try Codecademy, it teaches you the basics of coding. Once you learn that, coding for Blockland will be much easier.
