Suggestions & Requests / Re: Blockland for SmartPhones
« on: April 12, 2011, 08:30:11 PM »
First of all, I said that blockland was not going to be PORTED to a phone. It will be a low end version that only let's you build. Second, earlier I said that a bigger grid could be placed over the existing one for "Chunk-Building" making larger builds much easier than using a full blockland landscape you would have to clumsily manuver with google earthlike controls. I think it would be great for somebody to atleast try the idea. Afterall, what are betas for right?
The fact that SmartPhones are tiny, it would make buildings an inconvenience. It would take about 5+ seconds longer to place a brick than it would on the computer. Add that up, a 100 brick build would be about 8.5 minutes longer. Therefore, it would only produce small builds and not full-medium scale builds; of course, small builds aren't "suitable" for the Gallery, especially if a lot of people use the app and lots of small builds were added.
I can see no possible way to make the controls not clunky. And beta's are for findings bugs and seeing how people like it(though not all the time). Not to test a core feature of the game which could make the playing experience horrible or great, that's usually alpha. And if someone does make it and the movement/camera is horrid but the building was decent, it would get horrible reviews because of the movement/camera and would be a waste of time.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Resuggest: Wire Bricks
« on: April 12, 2011, 08:27:25 PM »
Thinking through this, I thought of a possible way to do this. So the add-on would use the Gravity Pull equation to determine how far the wire would "drop" over how far... for people that have actually taken algebra, it's a simple parabola. Now using the equation it would complete the connection between the two bricks by creating either multiple particles, or models, going the whole way .
So, basically;

It would use this model.

Then use that to create something like this as the wire.

Now, if I actually knew how to script, I could give it a shot. But, I don't know how to script for Blockland.

One was made before but was failed when it was discovered to have caused a lot of runtime errors.

The community doesn't care if your computer is broke so you can't play "your favorite game". They only care about keeping things in certain places, when one thing is ported to another console, it'll get their panties bunched up. And in other words, this wouldn't work.

I could model this.
I'm pretty sure anyone could.

Projectile with long life/long trail.
Aim at brick
Use onProjectileDestroyed to spawn a new one.
I'm no scripting genius but I'm pretty sure someone can make an event like
onActivate > Named Brick [Wire] > SpawnWire [Gravity Pull]
So when it's activated it creates a wire between the two bricks and you can specify the gravity pull.

I see an upset Daenth that didn't like why he got banned, and got people to put too much pressure on killer2.  Most people in that position would make mistakes, and I don't think I want Daenth in my server if a simple ban would end up like that.
But it wasn't a simple ban. :)
It was events that were stupid against Gravity Cat's players (E.G. My friends, other players...).

how does he know daenth is having fun

plus, if I accidentally team killed somebody, I ALWAYS say "oh sorry" or "oh stuff" right afterwards.
Too bad if it were on purpose, I would have gone on a teamkilling spree.

You're an idiot too, and also
"friend, it was an accident..."
that's gonna loving help, you stupid stuff.
friend = Idiot in offensiveness... if I got called a friend for doing something as an admin I would ask why they say that and if they explain a logical reason I would unban them. friend isn't that strong of a word, if it gets to you, you need to learn to deal with life. Also, I called you a friend cause I knew you wouldn't unban me in the first place, so I thought that was a good enough word to get you to feel that what you did was stupid. :)

I would have unbanned him, but then he called me a maggot in IRC. Gravity and I have banned for that reason alone.
You had no plans on doing so.
I watched my friend's chat. You just argued with people about how unjust it was, then when I IRC'd you, you just complained about it.

Reverse the first two IRCs, made an error.

Drama / Killer2 - Known friend?

Just doing this because I want Killer2 off Gravity Cat's server. Yes, I know it sucks but it's the only fort wars that generates a lot of people so it's fun. I accidentally killed someone taking off with a plane then Killer2 said these and the server argued about his decision. (Don't complain about Snipping Tool, I had to do this from a friends laptop.)

The IRCs:

People who IRC'd me about the issue:

Now, one accidental teamkill. That's worth a permaban? I thought that the admins would have common sense and know it was an accident, but no... not Killer2. He wanted a "sorry" and couldn't handle being called a friend, cause your emotional feelings should allow you to use admin powers against someone.

For someone who loves techno...
I can honestly I do not like this band.
I don't know why but I hate their intros. The middle parts of somewhat ok; it just doesn't please me. :c

EDIT: What I say above applies to 95% of their songs, for me. Some of their songs I like.

Off Topic / Re: loving Nightmares.
« on: April 06, 2011, 09:06:22 PM »
I have nightmares all the time.
But I've woken up in the middle of the night once when I was eight. I dreamed that I watched someone shoot my family one by one with a gun and I was helpless to do anything. I got so scared I told myself to wake up and I did. I have so many nightmares and phobias of the dark, I can't handle horror games. :c

Scariest ones for me is when I was forced onto an elevator and it's in constant motion up and down without stopping. It's just a platform and no "container" for the elevator and I fell off. I attempted to grab the floor but my hand just slipped. I somehow managed to stay on but physically (I have no idea if that's possible) I went scared hanging on the side of the elevator platform not able to do anything. I have so many nightmares and phobias of the dark, I can't handle horror games. :c
