I haven't played him yet. He seems like he could be very easily shut down.

The height of the page is 800px.

This reminds me of the first time I ever saw people clap at the end of a movie in a theater. I was like 'what the forget? Who are they applauding? It's a loving screen and a projector..'
I have witnessed that before too. Very confusing.

Flex has something to do with that center alignment. All I know is that it doesn't work without it.

I feel like there is probably some small error in your code, so just copy this:
Code: [Select]
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="style.css"/>
<title>Placeholder</title>
</head>
<body>
<div id="main1">
<p>Test</p>
</div>
</body>
</html>
Code: [Select]
body
{
background: lightgray;
font-size: small;
font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px 100px;
height: 800px;
display: flex;
align-items: flex-start;
flex: 1;
}

#main1
{
width: 200px;
align-self: center;
background-color: white;
padding: 100px;
margin: 0px;
}

Also, if you want align-self to work, your body needs the following code:
Code: [Select]
height: 800px;
display: flex;
align-items: flex-start;
flex: 1;
Obviously the height does not need to be 800px, but there needs to be a specified height larger than your main1.

Works for me with width: 200px;

Although, I have never heard of align-self and it doesn't seem to do anything.

Edit: Also, you can replace padding left and right with padding: 0px 100px;

Most Beatles songs are trash. Everybody should know this.

I fly on planes very frequently. No clapping.

Then again, all it takes is one idiot to clap for the whole mob mentality thing to go into effect.

Suggestion: Time crunch mode

You only have so much time to complete levels, you can do stuff to earn more time. Gotta go fast.

I don't remember any. Most of them happened when I was young.

are you sure she's not actually dressing up as a ghost
She very specifically states that it is a kool kids klub member outfit.

That doesn't surprise me. Biology was never my strong subject. Chemistry is; and that is why I'm study to be a chemical engineer. :D
Which parts are wrong, out of curiosity?
Very cool. I am Chemistry major.

The 50:50 DNA from mom and dad is not necessarily true. In the case of a male, the Y chromosome (from dad) is significantly smaller than the X chromosome. Also, not everybody's DNA is the same length.

Genes being determined the moment the sperm and egg combine. Mutations can, and do, occur early on.

Genes not being able to be changed. A retrovirus could do it. (Not practical)

Chromosomes changing slightly = death of cell, not necessarily. Estimates put upwards of 90% of DNA coding for nothing. Most changes in DNA do nothing. Some will kill a cell. Some will make it function incorrectly. Some will make it better.

It's really all just nitpicky stuff.

General Discussion / Re: What building style do you use?
« on: September 16, 2014, 09:52:11 PM »
By 'style', I mean techniques, I suppose.This too. It's more of a 'how do you paint, and what are your paintings generally like' sort of question, to phrase it using different terms.
My answer is all of them. The vast majority of my building experiences are working on a project for somebody else. I use their techniques. When I build without a guideline, things tend to be extremely abstract.

Some of the biology stuff is a tiny bit incorrect, but all of the relevant things are correct.
